Food is good, service is a little slow.

  • *****

We go a few times a year and absolutely love it! My husband can eat quite a few rolls so the all you can eat option is the go-to! Great specials around birthdays and the AYCE deals, too!

  • *****

Very good. I am extremely full

  • *****

Great little hole in the wall sushi place

  • *****

Arrived at 5 on a Friday night to find a line forming. Delightful sushi but expensive.

  • *****

My friends and I come here every month and its great food every time! We are on a weight loss journey and took a couple months away from mizumi and then came back and they had punchcards!! Now we have to fill the punchcards lol who cares about a weight loss journey
Whatever you do get the all you can eat!

  • *****

    Very reasonably priced sushi.

  • *****

Had such a beautiful dinner in one of their private sit down areas. The food was fresh and delicious and we ate to our hearts content. We return at least once a month. Thank you!

  • *****

Great AYCE choices, free small sake, great service even when busy, and hard working sushi chefs!!! All plates looked beautiful

    Small quaint atmosphere

    Delicious, great service, cozy atmosphere

  • *****

Wide variety of sushi. It was good.

  • *****

Love the place. Excellent food and top notch service. Best sushi bar I've ever been to!

  • *****

This is really good hibachi chicken! The portion size is very generous for a lunch special. Always fresh.
Zucchini, carrots, onions and broccoli served with rice.
Best teriyaki and ginger sauce ever.

  • *****

    very cute little place.

  • *****

The food has always been amazing here, the rolls, the hibachi is always great. The service can be either great or okay, as someone who's worked in the food industry I get it because anytime we go it's packed. I love the inside of the restaurant, the dim lights make it look like there's a mystery.
    I love it!

  • *****

Delicious sushi, miso soup and appetizers. The upper dining room was full, comfortable but a bit loud but no fault of the restaurant. The food is worth the wait.

  • *****

This little place was hands down the best sushi that I've had since moving to North Carolina from Miami, FL. The Crazy Beef Roll was out of this world delicious!! I will order two of those next time I visit this restaurant! They were very accommodating to my picky cousin who ordered the Bacon Roll but didn't know that the fish on top would be raw. The Chef seared the Roll for her and she absolutely loved it that way! It was jam packed in there, the ambiance was cozy, the sushi presentation was beautiful! This place is truly a hidden gem! I will be back next time that I am in Greensboro!

I'm already thinking about my next visit.

  • *****

Wonderful floor seating and great food!

  • *****

Great place , love the food !

  • *****

Even though I live close by, Ive only eaten here once so when I had a craving for sushi, I headed over and did not regret it. I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed watching how quick and professional team prepared all of the dishes, and when mine arrived, I was, ready to die in.! Each fish was fresh and my favorite, the year was fantastic. I saw how brisk the traffic was with people coming and going, and should tell newbies to be patient as this is not a very large restaurant the well worth the wait.

  • *****

The best sushi, all you can eat

  • *****

So good! Got the all you can eat sushi and everything we order was amazing! 10/10

  • *****

The food was great, and if it is during the week, they will let you make reservations for 2 and we did that, we went for valentines day and we had a short wait for our table, then the food came out fast and was fresh

  • *****

The food is amazing! Good proportions. We prefer to order off the menu rather than all you can eat. The Wait staff is friendly. It is hard to get a good seat, even if you arrive 20 minutes before they open.

  • *****

Have fun and relax. Awesome experience. If possible ask for floor seating. Food is great quality and pretty in depth sushi options. Also the all you can eat sushi package is the winner if you want to try a little of everything.

  • *****

I moved here May 2023 from NY, I was hoping to find the all you can eat sushi place near me and Winston Salem. There is not one so I decided Try sushi Restaurants in general, and I was disappointed every time had three different people tell me about this location in Greensboro And I go once a month now I truly love going here the service is phenomenal. The food is great and I will continue to take mine once a month.

  • *****

Best sushi in Greensboro can't beat that all you can eat sushi my only complaint is that they need a bigger building

  • *****

Great food, everything is amazing. Food just takes a while to come out. If your getting the buffet, order everything you want at the start because it will take the full 2 hours for everything to come to you. THEY HAVE RED BEAN ICE CREAM

  • *****

The wait was nearly 2 hours. But it was my first time and I realized quickly that it's a very popular place. Not one person I chatted in line with said it wasn't worth the wait, so we waited. It was great sushi. TIP: put your name on the list even you don't plan on eating until later. There WILL BE a wait whether you go right when they open for dinner or not. Also, per the staff, they don't take reservations but for groups of six and only like 2 or 3 a night. The place only has an occupancy capacity of 65 people. I mean, when you have every table ordering 3-5 rolls per person, it takes time. TIP: once you get seated, go straight for the specialty rolls. Don't waste time on what I call "starter" rolls like california. PRICES: $29.99 w/ sashimi. $25.99 w/o sashimi. Kids are about half price. You get charged for what you don't eat .50-$1.50 each.

    Service was fast

  • *****

Very friendly staff and very tasty food here.

  • *****

Service was great ! They also have these Japanese style mat tables which was a pretty cool experience! Better than Mr toyko for sure and worth every penny! Only complaint is they claim to offer free item like sake if two/4 person order buffet but never once gotten it.

  • *****

First time eating from here. Food was fresh and hot! I definitely recommend and I WILL be back!!

  • *****

Epic experience and forgiving to my wallet.

  • *****

Every time we Go to mizumi we are always so happy with everything! Sushi is all you can eat and always fresh!

  • *****

This was a great find! The all you can eat sushi was fantastic and some of the best quality sushi I have ever had. I love sushi, but can't stand when it's not fresh and is overly smelly and fishly. This was FRESH. Huge selection of rolls and appetizers. Very reasonable price and great service. We will be back! Over and over. Awesome place.

  • *****

Wonderful place to dine! Their sushi is absolutely delicious. I suggest the Snow White roll, you'll love it! Their all-you-can eat sushi deal is worth it. The wait staff are friendly and on point. Great place to take a date but make sure you get a reservation. The place gets busy quickly.

  • *****

I enjoyed my self. I didn't get a chance to see up stairs but it was very nice. The food was fresh the wait wasn't long.

  • *****

Very friendly and professional staff. Very nice atmosphere, too.
Im here on a business trip and just wanted to take my food back to the hotel but I overheard that the waiting time was over 3 hours tonight - that goes to show how popular this restaurant is.
And all that food for $27.00 - beer not included. Not bad at all!
Fish was very fresh and pretty tasty. And rice was nicely cooked and sushi was shaped/molded nicely - very tasty looking indeed!
However, this was not sushi - the rice didnt have enough sushi vinegar. So it was like eating raw fish over onigiri (rice ball). You got to remember that the heart and soul of sushi is sushi (vinegar rice) rice.
If sushi chef of this restaurant can improve that, Id give this restaurant 5 stars for sure.

Im updating my review to 4 stars from 3 stars because I ordered the same thing today (Sushi Deluxe) and it was very delicious.
Im not sure if they got a new sushi chef or they improved on sushi rice preparation but sushi rice was prepared well and it was made in to Nigiri in a very good manner - not too tight (hard) not too soft so when you pop it in your mouth, it falls apart without having to chew too much. Sashimi was cut very appropriately not too thick not too think. It just was delicious.
And they offer all you can eat sushi for less than $30 per person that includes all you can eat Sashimi? I so wish I lived in Greensboro!
    I highly recommend this restaurant!

  • *****

Best sushi in Greensboro! OMG. More sushi than stomach space.

  • *****

Great place to eat for lunch

  • *****

5 star always. Always busy always great food.

  • *****

I love their food. It's always fresh. And they take the time to properly package items on the go. I love their miso and hibachi.

  • *****

Best sushi in Greensboro can't beat that all you can eat sushi my only complaint is that seaweed wraps they use are to hard to chew up sometimes.

  • *****

All you can eat sushi was delicious! I did not care for the sexy lady roll but there was nothing wrong with the freshness of the food, just wasn't a roll that I liked. I recommend this resturant!

  • *****

The selection for the AYCE sushi was really good, and the portion sizes were perfect for being able to try quite a few things without feeling like anything would be wasted. Totally worth it. The Godzilla roll was a personal favorite.

  • *****

    Great classic sushi.

  • *****

Delicious food and great vibes. Slow around lunch time so I would recommend going then. Food came out super fast

  • *****

    Everything was amazing

  • *****

Solid spot for AYCE sushi. Fish was tasty and fresh.

  • *****

Great staff and fast with the take-out orders.

  • *****

Delicious food! The quality of the sushi is amazing and has a beautiful and chill atmosphere.
If you're planning on going weekends at night, you should make a reservation beforehand.

  • *****

    The sushi is very good.

  • *****

Their sushi is so amazing! Their staff is very attentive and very nice

  • *****

we have hibachi steak and hibachi chicken today, it was really good. will be back soon.

  • *****

    Absolutely delicious

  • *****

Best food and sushi for price in town! I am regular customer for their Chicken Hibachi! You can order to take out or eat at their very nice restaurant in town. You can't beat their prices and the taste is delicious!

  • *****

This is truly a hidden gem in Greensboro. Best Sushi all you can eat restaurant in the City

  • *****

Very good overall. I ordered all you can eat sushi. You're given a pencil and paper to mark your orders on two pieces of paper. You're then given your order and a fresh paper to mark your next order that gets picked up once you consume your delivered order. Pretty straightforward and efficient system. You're also given an order of house Saki, warm or cold, upon request as part of the all you can eat that can be shared amongst the other people at the table that also ordered the all you can eat.

I started out with an order of miso, aged tofu, one hand roll of avocado/cucumber and a regular roll of the same variety. Miso came first and was excellent. Tofu had a nice crispy outside and airy inside. Rolls were well made without any loose ingredients and held well. The hand roll was quite large and didn't spare ingredients. Ordered the house Saki cold and another round of rolls and miso. Sweet potato and avocado/cucumber. I personally am not a fan of Saki, but my dining partner said it was decent so I'll take his word. Sweet potato rolls were also good, with the eel sauce being great on it.

Staff were attentive and didn't harass you, which is always nice.

The atmosphere was good. One of the dinner parties was extremely loud, but that's out of control of the establishment. Once they left, things were quiet and warm generally. They have more private seating by candle light as well up some stairs from the main dining area.

Male restroom was clean, fully functioning facilities. The rest of the restaurant was clean, as well as the dining ware.

    Would recommend.

  • *****

The best all you can eat sushi place in Greensboro, very reasonable price, lots to choose from, and quality taste. The only bad part is it's a pretty small area so you will feel boxed in.

  • *****

For a quick bite it was great.

  • *****

Best sushi in a 50 mile radius. Atmosphere is really good too.

  • *****

So I originally gave this place a 1star review due to unsatisfactory service I received but Ive now changed my final review to a 5 star to due the amazing service I received after. The owner cared so much about making things right that they reached out to investigate why I was unhappy (which was due to an employee basically ignoring me after I placed an order hours in advance). When I spoke to them they didnt give me some shallow answer of well make sure this doesnt happen again. Instead they went above and beyond asking me how they can get my business back and even offered me a gift card to come back. This moved me so much that I had to share this awesome experience. Its not everyday you find a restaurant with great food and people who really care about their customers so Mizumi you have definitely earned my business back

  • *****

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sushi and overall service and ambiance at Mizumi. My family and I sat in a traditional booth sitting on cushions and had a great time. Ordered dumplings, regular and special sushi rolls as well as a bento box. Everything was great. Well be back!!!

  • *****

Definitely some of the best hibachi I've had! Food was very fresh and seasoned well; I had the chicken, shrimp, and steak hibachi dinner and it was about $15-$16. I placed a to-go order and it was a pretty short wait time, and also the staff was friendly. This is for sure going to be one of my go-to spots.

  • *****

I was recommended to come here while I was in town, and man am I glad I did- everything was excellent

I came by on a Saturday evening, and it was full, but I got a seat by the bar almost immediately

Two other parties were able to sit at the bar immediately as well

Service was attentive and fast, and the food was absolutely delicious

I got sushi and sushi rolls, and it was all fresh, and perfectly prepared

Definitely coming back, and so glad I found an amazing sushi spot

  • *****

Great sushi, and everything we had was wonderful. Very intimate atmosphere and a great place to dine in.

  • *****

Go for the all you can eat sushi but try to avoid getting too adventurous outside of that. Sushi was good especially for GSO, but youre better off going somewhere else if youre in the mood for hibachi, miso soup, etc. Great staff and service, but expect a wait! White sauce and ginger sauce can solve any problem

  • *****

By far the best sushi Ive had. We go here quite a bit and I have never had a bad experience. You cannot beat their all you can eat sushi. It is freshly made to order and the ratio of fish to rice is very generous. If you have more than 4 people or on weekends, the wait could be a while due to the seating.

  • *****

We haven't been in a while & wanted to go. It was great. Took too long to get to us. We almost walked out but finally got our order & food & it was great!

  • *****

I love this place. They have great vegetarian options, and my friends and family who eat meat also love and enjoy this place.

  • *****

    Always. Love!

  • *****

Good food is worth waiting for. 45 minutes for a table - 45 minutes for the food to be made. However, it was a fun celebration for the family.

  • *****

Hosts and serving ladies could use a smile once in a while. Other than that food is good nothing extraordinary. Atmosphere is nice and cozy.

  • *****

Always stays busy so plan ahead especially on weekend but they have always been amazing !!

  • *****

Excellent All You Can Eat sushi restaurant that has great service and great creative sushi rolls. Very fair pricing.

Only warning, it can get busy and a 30 minute wait should not be a surprise.

  • *****

    Great

  • *****

Food, service, and environment is amazing!! We come here all the time and bring a service dog with us. The staff is always very friendly and they have always been accommodating for us. I would highly recommend coming here

  • *****

The food is always so delicious and fresh.

  • *****

This place is amazing and delicious!!

  • *****

My family and friends absolutely love this place. Food is beyond awesome and the atmosphere is so cozy.

  • *****

The sitting is a little cramped but the food and service are very great

  • *****

A unique find located in a small European styled village. Delicious Sushi. For about an hour, I forgot I was in Greensboro.

  • *****

    Best sushi around, no debate.

  • *****

    Volcano rolls are

  • *****

Great food and great service! This is the only place we will get sushi at in the Greensboro area. The all you can eat is the best!

  • *****

Best sushi experience in the Triad (in my opinion). I can down sushi here to my heart's content and consistently leave happy, well fed, and ready to burst. Normally, "all-you-can-eat" sushi doesn't have a good connotation for me, but this place blows it out of the park. So, so, so tasty.

  • *****

Great food, and nice atmosphere. I didnt care for the Golden Bridge Roll as it tasted too bready, but thats more of a personal preference. The shrimp tempura and other items were delicious!

  • *****

Really, really good food and great atmosphere!

  • *****

    Uncontestable best sushi in Greensboro

  • *****

All you can eat for $29.99 per person, and the food is exceptional as always! From soups, salads, and appetizers, to sashimi and nigiri and rolls, you can't go wrong with anything you order (Also have the option to order from a traditional menu priced by each item for those that don't want all you can eat!)

  • *****

Best sushi in Greensboro and they have all you can eat!

  • *****

    Fresh food good atmosphere.

  • *****

Great service and food. Nice experience with traditional seating.

  • *****

Great place, good quality food, great atmosphere, friendly and timely service. Will definitely be back for seconds

  • *****

The restaurant is beautiful my wife loves the cat masks on the wall the plants are nice and even the names of the sushi are hilarious.

The sushi is pretty decent but they put a lot of crab garnish on top of the sushi making it a real pain in the butt to eat. There was more garnish then there was sushi roll.

The presentation of the food was excellent the service was amazing but in my general opinion after tasting most of the spicy sushi rolls I don't think it was worth the price and I'd probably not come back here because there's cheaper places that tastes better but atmosphere wise you truly can't beat it.

  • *****

    Love the sushi.

  • *****

Best Hibachi ever! I thought I'd never be able to replace my go-to in Mebane after moving to Greensboro, but I was wrong!! Tender, flavorful meat and veggies in VERY generous portions - I'm in love!

  • *****

We got the Volcano roll and the Yummy roll and YALL !!
The BEST sushi Ive had so far in my life!! We will be back very soon!
Perfect place for a date night !

  • *****

Wonderful place with fresh ingredients, excellent staff and a great hole-in-the-wall vibe. Loved the AYCE sushi and Michelle was on top of it! I'll be back.

  • *****

    Best sushi in Greensboro!

  • *****

Nice place, attentive servers and deeelicious sushi! I'll be back, soon.

  • *****

We thoroughly enjoyed our dine in experience at Mizumi! The food was fresh and flavorful. We will most certainly be back to partake of the "all you can eat" deal on hopefully a date night with friends. If you love sushi and don't mind a mild wait due to this spots popularity, then by all means stop on by!

  • *****

Mizumi has been the best sushi experience Ive ever had and I have eaten a LOT of sushi! the restaurant is also an incredibly romantic place for date night. the all you can eat sushi is very reasonably priced considering the quality of the food and how much you can eat! i also love that they charge for food waste if you order too much.

  • *****

A small gem in town! Freshest sushi I have had in Greensboro. And the all you can eat menu is very complete! Not cheap as other all you can eat, but definitively worth it if you are looking to eat high quality sushi.
Salmon tower and special rolls are a MUST Try. You can also order a la carte if you dont have three boys like mine!

  • *****

Definitely the best sushi! We always love to return here when in Greensboro only one thing I would recommend to people who dont necessarily seek a room with freezing cold air condition running - the very last room of the restaurant is like sitting in a fridge (seriously!). The closer to the entrance and kitchen the warmer and cozy it gets. Oh and I recommend you to make a reservation in advance, especially on the weekend.
    Love it! Enjoy

  • *****

Awesome first experience. Customer service is wonderful... I will be back.

  • *****

Quaint dining. Excellent service. Fully staffed. Best sushi ever.

  • *****

We had the best sushi and hibachi. Definitely will be back with friends

  • *****

Cant be all you cant eat sushi and all you can drink sake!

  • *****

Great place with great service, decent food. All you can eat option is great for sushi lovers.

  • *****

Super awesome all you can eat sushi !!!

  • *****

We love going to this little "all you can eat" sushi place. The chefs prepare a variety of sushi with delicious presentations. It is a wonderfully mixed menu of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and dessert. We haven't tried the Hibachi. Mainly because we are such sushi lovers. The seaweed salad is my top appetizer, while the love of my life prefers the miso soup. I love sashimi and be able to have all you can eat is awesome. Allowing you to try a variety of dishes and fishes.

  • *****

Great place with amazing service. The all you can eat deal is the best and gives you the opportunity to try everything! The red tiger and red dragon roll was my favorite. The downstairs area is slightly crowded, but upstairs is more spacious. There is an area upstairs where you can sit in the floor to eat. Pretty cool. Follow me on Instagram for more food reviews @seri_tag .

  • *****

Wish there was more space, unless you got a reservation, prepare to wait a bit

  • *****

    The best sushi in GSO.

  • *****

I love coming here! It's a nice little spot! Usually always too packed but it's worth going to eat there. I'm picky about sushi so it's nice that this place has days where it's really fresh. Since COVID i usually order to go. But inside is very beautiful as well

  • *****

Hole in the wall, but it is the best sushi in GSO.

  • *****

The food is so good. I don't want to share this place to make the wait times longer

  • *****

They were closing and had 19 to go orders. Still took my order of 4 and it was wonderful.

  • *****

Premium sushi and a wonderful experience. Definitely a go to for my friends and I!

  • *****

    They have insanely good sushi

  • *****

The atmosphere was really nice for the price, definitely would come again!

  • *****

Amazing restaurant, delicious food all around. Only thing I can really say is the wait time is sometimes long since this place is popular, so if you have a big party I recommend calling in a reservation.

  • *****

    GREAT SUSHI ROLLS!!!

  • *****

    Best sushi around!

  • *****

Great experience. Enjoyed the good. Great options. Loved that hibachi is on the AYCE menu as well (even though I didn't get it).

  • *****

We've been here a couple of times, and the food NEVER disappoints. It's always tasty!
However, their service could use some improvement. We waited just a little over 10 minutes to be greeted at the door, and our server only came to our table 3 times in the 2.5 hour period we were there. She was very nice though, and they were probably short staffed.
Overall, great experience, great food, and friendly staff.

  • *****

Not just the best sushi in Greensboro but possibly the best restaurant in Greensboro. You'll probably have to wait for a table but like all great things it's worth the wait!

  • *****

    Great every time

  • *****

    Awesome food, Awesome service

  • *****

Small place but really great sushi! Reservations are definitely a good idea! Definitely one of Greensboros best sushi options!

  • *****

This place is great. I never had anything bad yet. The all you can eat sushi is where it's at. They also have lots of other choices. The hibachi is just wonderful.

  • *****

Update: still really enjoy eating here. Food is consistent. Glad service maintained despite recent times.

All you can eat option appreciated. Good limiting rules to prevent patrons from taking advantage. I enjoy it when I go. Good way to sample and taste dishes may not normally order.

I enjoy visits here. Food is consistently tasty.

  • *****

Some of the best sushi in Greensboro! Staff was really nice and friendly even when they were SUPER busy. Definitely worth it!!

  • *****

Wonderful environment, wonderful food, wonderful staff.

  • *****

I had all you can eat for $29.99 (No drinks included with pricing).

This also includes appetizers, and hibachi entrees and deserts on the menu!

Service was great and place can get busy quick! So expect service to slow.

Parking is nearby that us shared among other businesses.
They also have a rewards program when you bought 10 all you can eat. Your 11th will be free!

    Heads up:
All you can eat is a dine-in only and must finish or you be surcharges for any leftover pieces of sushi or sashimi! Ordered what's needed first before ordering more than you can eat!

    Surcharge is $0.5 - $1 per piece

  • *****

    Love the sushi here!

  • *****

Great sushi. Great value for your money.

  • *****

    Best seaside in town. Fresh

  • *****

Wow, my dinner was a true experience. Phenomenal sushi on an all you can eat mto basis? Including a free small sake? Kitchen options, dessert, apps, special rolls, and great service for 30$?! What else could you ask for!!!
A top restaurant in all of my extensive dining experience, I'm excited to return!

  • *****

Very good sushi, the AC was on full blast and a bit cold

  • *****

I finally got to try the all you can eat, and it was great. They had more variety things than I thought (regular rolls, nigiri/sashimi, special rolls, some hibachi). It all tasted fresh.
    I'm definitely going back

  • *****

    Perfect atmosphere and great food!

  • *****

We absolutely love this place. All you can't eat is now $30 on weekdays (probably more on weekends), but it's worth it for special occasions. It does include one free small sake. Some rolls are not shown on the AYCE menu, but you can request any rolls from their original menu.

  • *****

I heard about this place from a friend and decided to go one day for lunch. Im so glad I did! Our server was very nice and explained the process. I love their no waste policy, people tend to over order then waste so much food so I thought it was brilliant.

I tried to order a little of everything since we did the all you can eat, to get a true experience. Honestly you cant beat the price because anywhere else, you order two specialty rolls and youre already at nearly $30. Their sushi rolls were fresh and amazing! There wasnt one I tried and didnt like, The crab rangoons were also great, with a nice crisp and a lot of flavor.

I cant wait to go back!

  • *****

Best hibachi weve had in a long time. Sushi was amazing too! We will be back!!

  • *****

Went here with a friend for the all you can eat sushi. The sushi was delicious, but it was a pretty long wait for the food. Also, it was kind of hard on my back sitting on the floor to eat (there are regular seating options as well, but that was just what was available). Still, 5 stars for the sushi and the friendly waitress.

  • *****

Had a wonderful meal here with my family. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The restaurant was clean. I came here on a recommendation from a friend. I am glad I came. The food was great. I look forward to my next visit.

  • *****

The food is top notch at such an excellent price! They have vegan friendly options as well!

  • *****

Amazing food and vibes. The AYCE is such an amazing deal and I am never disappointed. Best tuna sashimi I've ever had.

  • *****

Bustling place with outstanding sushi. Be careful when ordering the all you can eat sushi... Your eyes will be bigger than your stomach!

  • *****

(Translated by Google) We opted for the carvery. The food is good - I wouldn't say excellent because I've had better at other restaurants, but what I've tried so far in the area has been good.
We didn't get a reservation and we waited over an hour.

    (Original)
Optamos pelo rodzio. A comida boa - eu no diria excelente porque j comi melhor em outros restaurantes, mas o que experimentei at o momento na regio, foi bom.

Best vegetarian sushi in town! Beware they open for dinner at 5:30pm though. If you try to come at 3pm or 4pm, they will be closed.

  • *****

The sushi is outstanding. The hibachi steak was tough. I would never order it again. And the most critical thing that I hope the owners sees is this - the WHITE SAUCE IS TOO TOO TOO TOO SWEET and that ruins it. Please go to Lil Ari's and try their white sauce! It's balanced, only slightly sweet and mostly savory. The sickeningly sweetness is soooooooo horrible. I love this restaurant but I am being honest, alot of people measure how good a Japanese place is by the quality of the white sauce.

  • *****

Amazing! I was told this is the best Sushi in Greensboro. That is 100 % accurate. Excellent customer service everyone is so friendly and the food is top notch! Im addicted now.

  • *****

Great quality and all you can eat options! The quality if the sushi is great. Just realize you have to be patient, and this is not a quick in and out restaurant.

  • *****

We LOVE Mizumi! It is such a hidden gem. I am from Boston and have found it hard to find quality sushi in NC, but Mizumi knocks it out of the park.

We love their all you can eat in person dining, but they also do a great job on takeout. If you want to dine in, I would arrive right at or even a few minutes before 5 pm as the wait can get long.

A few of our favorite rolls that are so unique: New York Roll, Gazilla Roll, Greenhouse Roll.

  • *****

Delicious and always a great time!! We sat at the bar tonight. It was so cool watching the guys making the sushi in front of us! A wonderful night!!

  • *****

Mizumi is one of our most favorite places to eat. We have never had even a slight negative experience there. It's always so warm and cozy. And we never feel forgotten or rushed.

The food is unmatched. I will literally tell anyone who will listen that they need to visit. It's my husband and I's number one date spot.

  • *****

Best sushi joint in town. I always get the all you can eat sushi. Rolls are not skimpy. Quality ingredients all around.

  • *****

Oh wow, someone has been keeping secrets. why haven't I heard of this place earlier lol This is the best all you can eat sushi restaurant I have been to. Most all you can eat sushi taste like its from the gas station. Not here. The sushi was fresh, and they even offered all you can eat sashimi oh my

  • *****

The food is amazing and great portion sizes. Will recommend and come back again.

  • *****

I love their all you can eat special! Just be prepared to wait.

  • *****

All you can eat sushi was delicious!! Came with sake due to a promotion, which was also fine by me. They have normal tables as well as the tables where you sit on the ground. Recommend the ground ones because it's secluded. All in all, great place and highly recommend!

  • *****

Amazing sushi... Excellent customer service.. great price

ALL YOU CAN EAT IS THE BEST DEAL

  • *****

The all you can eat sushi is a great deal! Great price and quality!

  • *****

This is a go to for me and my husband. Such great sushi, and I honestly can't remember a bad meal!

  • *****

This place is so super delicious!!!! I expected the rules to be small because it was all you can eat and it's like wow they are full size so don't order too much lol

  • *****

I love this place so much. It's the best sushi place in Greensboro. 10/10 would recommend

  • *****

This is the second time that we visit, and it is one of our favorite spots for sushi, specially since the quality of the fish is impecable.
On our second visit we tried the All You Can Eat and the Chabudai table, we loved that it felt so intimate and a very comfortable way to eat.
Definitely a must try if you live or are visiting the area.

  • *****

The good sushi place in Greensboro.

  • *****

I highly recommend reservations because there is long wait to get seated on a Saturday night. Every single table was occupied. The staff, although extremely busy, are friendly & efficient, especially if you give them a smile & compliment. Our waitress wasn't even thrown when at the end we asked for separate checks - we had 11 people. What I found impressive was that she didn't hurry us along throughout the meal, even though they were so busy.

I appreciated that we could order either from the all you can eat menu or the individual meal. As we many of us love sushi, it made sense to get the all you can eat. The bonus was that for every 2 people who order the all you can eat, you all get one carafe of sake, either hot or cold. It was a light flavor. A first tasting for a few of us and they seemed to like it too.

If you have a smaller group, there is authentic Japanese seating: Zashiki is a traditional Japanese restaurant seating arrangement featuring a low table set on tatami flooring.

I enjoyed most of the dishes I ordered, except the spring roll - too greasy. not crisp nor flaky. It reminded me of frozen ones overcooked. The miso & mushroom soups were flavorful, my 2 year old granddaughter had 2 bowls. I highly recommend combining sashimi orders with the sushi so you have room. It is also important to pace yourselves so as to get the best value and have room for the sushi. I think my favorite was the eel sushi - it has been a while since I've had one as flavorful. My next favorite was the sweet potato one. The one disappointment was that all the included deserts were only ice cream and I can't eat dairy.

  • *****

Sat outside. Great food would recommend.

  • *****

The food is always delicious, the wait can be slow but that's because everything is made fresh!

  • *****

Went last week for the first time and got the AYCE sushi. I overall enjoyed my experience.
My miso soup was cold but everything else was A1! Ill definitely be back!

  • *****

Great food and atmosphere. We had fun snd everything we ordered was great. Fair price.

  • *****

Fantastic staff and food was fantastic. Absolute great pricing.

  • *****

This is excellent for the price, quality, and quantity of food!! So busy in there, we do take home!! You need to plan or reserve ahead!! It is that good!

  • *****

The best value for true sushi lovers in North Carolina.

  • *****

As always, Mizumi's did not disappoint! My daughter and I have deemed this establishment our FAVORITE sushi place and it's always on point !! 5..

  • *****

The all you can eat sushi is incredible, super fresh and delicious! The salmon Don bowl was out of this world!

  • *****

Catered for a wedding, guests from all over and some foodies. Everyone walked away very happy with the sushi!

  • *****

Service a little bit slow, food was good.
Place a little small as well

  • *****

Fresh, nice size of sashimi, sushi, recommend to the people who like sushi

  • *****

If you sincerely appreciate quality sashimi, youll love Mizumi. There is no where else in North Carolina that comes close to offering the quality, selection, and value that is the all you can eat menu here. Yea, its super small, loud, and service is mediocre, but again, if you REALLY appreciate and recognize quality sashimi (and sushi), youll be able to look over the shortcomings.
I think a lot of the negative reviews are from ignorant simpletons that think a deep fried roll drenched in mayo from literally any random restaurant that serves sushi is quality. Mizumi is a step above all establishments that serve sushi in North Carolina.

  • *****

Absolutely fantastic sushi and wonderful service. That staff made my experience memorable! Thank you!

  • *****

All you can eat sushi is the best here! Worth every penny. Quality sushi for the price.

  • *****

We're just getting into sushi and Mizumi came highly recommended. They offer seating at the bar, chabudai tables, or traditional American tables. We went for the unlimited sushi which is essentially family-style. The table chooses from a list of apps, rolls, and misc that is shared among the table. Everything was fresh and very tasty. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices. Nice selection of sake. Our only complaint is that the unlimited sushi is limited to 2 hours and it took over an hour to get our initial order of rolls. Then as we neared the 2 hour mark (primarily because we waited for food to be served) everything started coming at once.

  • *****

All you can eat sushi was delicious! I did not care for the sexy lady roll but there was nothing wring with the freshness of the food, just wasn't a roll that I liked. I recommend this resturant!

  • *****

Love this place! The all you can eat deal is phenomenal!

  • *****

The "all you can eat" sushi deals are one of the best ways to sample a wide array of good sushi that I've ever seen. They also have a good deal on house sake to go with it (if you don't plan on driving afterwards). Great for dates or mid-size groups.

  • *****

This is one of the top sushi restaurants in Greensboro area you should try sooner or later. Very delicious sushi and hibachi grill food with traditional Japanese restaurant style design. Also try their sushi buffet!

  • *****

The best sushi I have had in years. $24 a person for all you can isn't bad. I love that they make you pay for what you don't eat it keeps ppl from being wasteful. Great atmosphere nd great food!

  • *****

    We loved it!

  • *****

The first time we came we enjoyed the all you can eat sushi. it was fun & tasty. My only issue is they need to adjust their closing time. If you close at 10pm but really close at 9, you should adjust that on google so that people wont waste their time coming out.

  • *****

Great service. Price is perfect for the all you can eat and it comes with a free saki, which was also yummy!

  • *****

An actual hole in the wall. Not much room for moving and its located central to nothing - but this sushi. Its special.

All-you-can-eat selection of amazing rolls and appetizers make this a cant miss option if youre a sushi fan.

My bill wouldve been astronomical anywhere else.

This place is the finest marriage of quantity AND quality.

  • *****

My favorite place to get sushi that i can trust, miso soup is great as well

  • *****

Can I just say WOW! Ive Been coming to this restaurant for years and Ive seen its highs and lows but this is most certainly the BEST it has ever been. I tried their new menu last night and I was extremely impressed. Im not going to lie the wait was exceptionally long, but That was to be expected on a weekend with a new menu. Bright side is there is so much to do in that shopping center it wasnt really a big issue. Plus the staff was all extremely friendly, our waitress was so funny and we all had a great time. Look at how cute our food was! Id give a 10 if I could. It is $28 now but it comes with one free sake and I feel like the AYCE menu has a little something for everyone even if you arent a sushi lover. The friendly wait staff, great selection, and artfully plated tasty selection is worth the price.

  • *****

Food was Good and We Probably Be Back and Dine In.Good Job !

  • *****

Some of the wait staff hate being waitresses and it shows. If you like all you can eat sushi and dont care if you are getting literally the worst service in Greensboro this is the place for you. I love sushi, and I come here about once a month or so for the past year and its always been like this. Dont be surprised if you sit at a table for 10 minutes without water when first seated and Expect the waitress to roll her eyes at you when you tell them theyve forgotten your silver ware and napkins for the second time. And dont be surprised if they leave a bin for dirty dishes hanging out in the middle of the hallway. But if you like to eat as much sushi and drink sake for $40 after tax this is a good place.

    - edit 2021-
Ever since they reopened after the pandemic their servers have been SO MUCH NICER. Im changing my vote from a 2 to a 5.

  • *****

Absolutely love it. Will definitely come back

  • *****

The presentation of the takeout was not that appealing. I got the hibachi steak it was ok. I did enjoy the white sauce. I don't think it was enough food.

  • *****

The food is delicious. The tables are private and quaint. The fuji apple sake is so good I bought a bottle for home. Prices are so reasonable.

  • *****

The food is always good! The service was s bit slow. We aren't in need of a server often, so the fact that it was a long period of time between visits was noticeable. We will go back, we might just take out instead. Staff was really friendly though, which is a rarity these days!

Great sushi rolls at a fantastic price. You know when there's a line before they open that it'll be good.

  • *****

Great little sushi spot. They offer some tatami seating which is neat. Its a quiet quaint eatery with some fresh sushi and nice staff. The crab Rangoon is crispy, fresh, and tasty. I also would suggest the rock n roll roll which is pictured on the menu but not actually an option. A small variety of sake options are available as well. Nice ambiance in a cute neighborhood as well.

  • *****

Food is always good when we order from here. Never had a bad dish. They even serve Ichiban beer!

  • *****

Food was okay in my opinion. Others in the group loved it. Staff was great all around. I was with a large group with children and they were very accommodating. Thanks.

  • *****

Amazing sushi place and the best in town. All-you-can-eat and has floor seating. If you like sushi, you have to come here.

Omg. Best sushi place I've ever been to. The clear soup, miso soup, spring rolls, and the sushi were absolutely incredible. Great service and we sat at the area where we took our shoes off and set criss cross applesauce on the mats on the floor it was so cool. Most of the restaurant was regular seating though. We got the $27 all you can eat for 2 hours it was incredible. Delicious delicious

  • *****

Love this place! Delicious food, great service, great prices! Very tempting.

We arrived at 530 on a Saturday and were able to get a table for 4 immediately. We had a great time trying as many new things as we could stand. Everything was amazing. Topped off with red bean ice cream for the WIN. Highly recommended! Faves; spider roll, sweet potato roll, spring rolls, salmon nigiri, seaweed salad. On and on!

  • *****

Food was amazing, service was great. The eating quarters are tiny. Barely had room to cross my legs. And I was on crutches, so those had to be checked in at the front desk, which made going to the restroom almost impossible. Other than that, everything was impeccable.

  • *****

Great Place! Great staff and delicious food!

  • *****

The food is great. The staff is nice and make sure you have what you need. The food is authentic. So when you find it here you will not be disappointed!

  • *****

Love the all you can eat option. The octopus, green tea ice cream, rainbow roll, and miso soup were tops.

  • *****

    Make a RESERVATION.
We went for the sushi. On a Wednesday night we had a sizable wait.
The selection is very good. The rolls are better than most in the area.
Time from order to eating is a bit long, hence only 4 stars.

Closer to a 4.5. It is definitively the best sushi place in the area. If youre here to eat rolls with raw fish, this is it. Weve been regulars at Imperial Koi and Phoenix but this places puts their sushi to shame.

The only thing I found that tasted strange was the seaweed. It was distinctly rubbery? Ive had a lot of sushi. Its the first time Ive eaten at a place with such fresh, clean tasting fish and the most rubbery, paper-tasting seaweed wrap. That was so funny usually seaweed is the only thing a mediocre sushi place gets right.

Otherwise, the fishthe most important partwas insanely good. It doesnt have a fishy taste at all. Salmon was rich, buttery, even a little sweet. No aftertaste. Straight up ate so many salmon rolls that I thought I was sick of it for a while and the day after craved it again.

That said I dont think anything else is worth eating hereits a sushi place after all, so why get the subpar fried rice dishes and soups? Additionally, it takes some time before your order comes to you. We came on a Friday evening at the start of dinner (5:30 PM) and it took half an hour before our rolls were readyI can tell we wouldve had to wait much longer had we arrived even ten minutes later when people started to pour in. It was worth it though. Freshness comes very, very close to the sushi rolls we were served on the coast.

  • *****

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we felt great. We were welcomed very well. The restaurant is very clean and beautiful. Service is very good. Regarding the food, it was beautifully presented and excellent. This place is great.

  • *****

Love this place! Delicious food, great service, great prices! Very tempting.

  • *****

  • *****

My favorite sushi place around, give them a try *eat inside

  • *****

Amazing fresh sushi, wouldn't go anywhere else!

  • *****

Warm atmosphere and great sushi. I highly recommend the buffet option, but be careful how much you ask for

The Best Service, A-1 Quality Sushi . Best Money That I have Ever Spent, And will Return Soon when I have The Money Again

  • *****

Honestly, this is now one of my favorite sushi restaurants in the area

  • *****

    Amazing!

  • *****

  • *****

Love mizumi! They are usually busy, but sometimes you can catch them before the wait turns to 1 hour+. Worth the wait anyways. I always either get the all you can eat or the eel bento box.

  • *****

We absolutely love this place. The staff are always friendly and try to accommodate all wishes. We normally go here for a date night along with Bull City up the road. There is normally a wait prior to being seated on busy nights so dont get in a rush. Its a very small space and there are normally 4 sushi chefs working continuously to fulfill everyones orders so try to be patient. Its worth it!

  • *****

The sushi is amazing! Lots of options and part of the proceeds go to a good cause. Will definitely be eating here again.

  • *****

Very good sushi I do suggest going is a large group so you can try multiple kinds roles if you all decide to get all you can eat. They also have a great birthday deal. Definitely no lost quality over the pandemic break.

  • *****

    Good sushi place!

  • *****

Absolutely delightful! The sushi is the best in greensboro with an all you can eat option that will not break the bank. They offer traditional seating with a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

  • *****

Very nice restaurant everything was hot, fresh and very good.

  • *****

My parents and I had an amazing dinner, from appetizers to the sushi it was all great, and especially the green tea ice cream. Its definitely better when you have 3-4 People to share the orders so less likely to have leftovers.

  • *****

I really live sushi so all you can eat sushi is the best. The fish is fresh and the service was perfect. A little pricey but i think its really worth it

  • *****

Surprisingly great sushi! All you can eat for one reasonable price.

  • *****

    Habachi was great!!!

  • *****

It was pretty pretty decent. Enjoyed the food. However, for the nigiri, i felt that the ratio of fish to rice was a little skewed. Typically in my home country of japan, we have less rice and more fish. However, all in all this was definitely good. Also, if you are coming, make sure that you are willing to wait for a decent bit for itmight take a while to get your food. Will be back.

  • *****

Super cozy, cute, delicious, and fairly priced. My boyfriend and I came from out of town for a date night. It was absolutely the perfect option for us! Some of the most fresh sushi Ive ever had!

  • *****

Food is not that beautiful but it is delicious

  • *****

Super Pricey!!! Grateful to have an AYCE Sushi Spot go to! Of course the sushi:rice ratio is always skewed at places like these but the quality is good. Theyre chronically short staffed so weve never gotten the chance to have a traditional dinner on the floor but Ill look out for the day. & Love I love the green tea ice cream!

  • *****

was delicious! It's so filling. It was much bigger then I had expected.

  • *****

    This place is always busy.

  • *****

Food is good, service is OK, really good at the beginning but towards the end they just care for the check

  • *****

The food is definitely the most worthwhile. Looking forward to ordering again soon.

Fav sushi place in the area.

  • *****

What a great place. The food is very fresh and delicious. If you are in the area, you can definitely try!

  • *****

Had a great experience. Food was wonderful. The "All you can eat" opinion is a bit slow. Perhaps you need to order as soon as you get your first order. Overall we would definitely return.

  • *****

The sushi was so good here

  • *****

Good place. The food is delicious. Provide a variety of options. Everyone is satisfied. Will definitely come back to order in the future.

Busy for a reason! The sushi was fantastic! It was so busy, we didn't get part of our order, but we were celebrating a birthday and the newly turned teenager thought it was great!

  • *****

I really like the floor area upstairs where you take tour shoes off & I have enjoyed the sushi buffet several times. Have at it, I recommend.

  • *****

The all-you-can-eat is well worth it, and its also a reasonable price for the amount of food you get.

  • *****

t was good sushi thank you guys

  • *****

Sushi Was awesome. Absolutley Not expensive. Would really recommend it to sushi lovers.
    I'll Come back, for sure!

  • *****

We did the AYCE sushi. It actually includes appetizers, salad, sides, dessert. Very good deal if you like sushi and sashimi. Fish portions are small but you can order over and over again. It was full when we ate and the sushi came out understandably late

  • *****

So happy this spot is open for dine-in again. AYCE sushi can't be beat.

  • *****

After giving them another shot, I've received great customer service. Only gripe is having to call in order to make sure I get white sauce when I place my order.

  • *****

    Always has great food!!

  • *****

Great service and great food. Wish I could've had more, but I got so full. Highly recommend.

  • *****

My 1st time but it was great. Everything is fresh and good price for all you can eat sushi

So thrilled they're open for dine-in again! The sushi is as fantastic as ever, they haven't slipped a bit. Just a gem of a restaurant.

  • *****

As a japanese. I think this pretty decent. Enjoyed the food. However, for the nigiri, i felt that the ratio of fish to rice was a little skewed. • *****

    Great food cute Location

  • *****

Tasty and even when busy pretty fast.

  • *****

Best sushi in Greensboro can't beat that all you can eat sushi my only complaint is that seaweed wraps they use are to hard to chew up.

  • *****

    Great food!

  • *****

Great as always, so glad they have reopened. We had a huge party with 2 Birthdays and they did great.

  • *****

Best sushi Ive ever had by a long shot.

  • *****

what isnt there to love about Mizumi. i hate that covid ever had to exist. this was always my treat to myself to make me feel refreshed. honestly is like the zen version of a bar

  • *****

I cannot express my absolute love for this place! Based on the reviews I read, I was skeptical. I walked in expecting scant fish, heavily riced sushi, with curt or lazy staff. My experience was the complete opposite!
I had the 'all you can eat' lunch buffet. The menu is pretty expansive, including not just sushi but also appetizers, ice cream and two types of teriyaki. I paid about $23 for two hours. The waitstaff was extremely nice and I felt warmly welcomed while having my space.
I certainly ate my fill! Looking at some of the more negative comments, I can only conclude that those customers were greedy, impatient and demanding.
The only thing that was slim was the eel on my rolls but if you understand what's happened with the unagi market in recent years, that's understandable.
I would love to come here for every celebration. I came for my birthday and it was an intimate meal with my boyfriend. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect date.

  • *****

Super satisfied. This location is one of my favorites. This place feels great. Worth recommending to friends around me.

  • *****

My favorite place to eat Eel sushi Box. excellent. This place feels good and very satisfied.

  • *****

This restaurant will never disappoint you! Amazing menu, it's really great! Will come back to order!

  • *****

Usually a little bit of a wait for carry out but 100% worth it. I think the only reason it takes a bit is bc they are so busy! Food is always delicious.

  • *****

    Great food!! Recommend!

  • *****

    Delicious!!!!

  • *****

Small and cozy so expect a wait. The staff was friendly and informal. The food both hibachi and sushi was delicious. Worth the hour wait I had at a pub just up the road. They called when our table was ready.

  • *****

The sushi is good and the waiters are to but they are an expensive place to eat but they are still good

  • *****

    uber delicious

  • *****

    Best sushi deal in Greensboro

  • *****

Food was really good. I am not a fan of how they are managing people getting take-out near the entrance. People are collecting outside without masks or social distancing amd they seem fine with it.

  • *****

Pick up service was smooth and required little contact.

  • *****

This place has awesome take out sushi! With the pandemic Ive been dying for sushi but was worried I would pay a lot of money and not be satisfied - well that couldnt be further from the truth! My sushi was to perfection. Presentation was on point. Super fresh and delicious . My salad was crispy and fresh. The dressing was the ginger dressing and man was it good! I got the love boat for two as well as shrimp and rice for my toddler. Total was $60 because you get 15 pieces of sushi, 15 sashimi and two rolls the chefs pick! Worth the money! My daughter actually ate it very well. And even loved the sashimi with a bit of rice! I tasted her shrimp, and the seasoning was perfect. Not too salty, and certainly not bland. I enjoyed literally every bite of my food and cant wait for next Saturdays cheat meal when I can indulge in more of this deliciousness! I saw someone else complaining about the way they have there set up to take precautions- that is ridiculous! We are all doing what we feel is best right now. They offer hand sanitizer and a contactless way to get food. I dont care how you get me my sushi as long as its good! Will be back!

  • *****

My daughter loves to come here for the all you can eat sushi deals. I wish they would open the dine-in section, tough I understand the precautions they're taking.

  • *****

    Friendly service and great food!

  • *****

This is my husband and my favorite Sushi place. We love the quality, taste and proportions of the sushi. This is our go to place for bringing friends, family for a nice dinner, date nights and most of ours or friends birthdays. Habachi, sides, desserts and drinks are also delicious. I have been coming here for three or more years now. Still getting takeout with the dinning room closed.

  • *****

The food was great and you get plenty of food for the money.

  • *****

This is my favorite place to get sushi!! Never disappoints. I love their signature tempura playboy roll.

  • *****

This has to be the best sushi place I have ever been too. You can get the sushi buffet and pile your face with all the amazing sushi. I highly recommend this place. except that they aren't open right now and it deeply saddens me and my fat friends. We long for the taste of the sushi and we hope everyday they will open

  • *****

Best sushi. Had the crazy spicy tuna roll

  • *****

Ive eaten a lot of sushi in my life and mizumi has the BEST sushi hands down. I dont know if I can ever eat sushi anywhere else now.

  • *****

    Great food!

  • *****

One of the best, if not the best, sushi places I've been to in North Carolina. The dine in experience is great and the all-you-can-eat price is worth it. The pandemic closed the dine in and the all-you-can-eat but the regular price is still worth it even though it is a little high. The specialty rolls the serve are genuinely some of the best I've had.

  • *****

Authentic and delicious japanese food and sushi, the best Ive had in Greensboro by FAR!

  • *****

Fresh and clean cut sashimi with great rolls. Can't get better than this. I'm excited to try their food post pandemic with their buffet!

  • *****

    Great sushi

  • *****

This is absolutely the best sushi in Greensboro. We're quite lucky to have it!

  • *****

Absolutely love Mizumi and it is usually our favorite place to go for sushi! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the process of ordering take out due to COVID is very odd and the wait time to pickup food is always an hour or more. Its definitely worth the wait but I think everyone is looking forward to dining inside again!

  • *****

Great sushi spot and the food is the best. And make sure to get a bottle of plum sake for dessert.

  • *****

I love this place. I hope this place opens for dine in again. The all you can eat sushi is amazing. Greensboro is just not the same without it.

  • *****

Great Sushi, and one of my favorites in all of Greensboro. The wait can at times be a little long, as they only are takeout and delivery currently because of Covid, but it's worth the wait.

  • *****

Mizumi has been our go to sushi spot for a while now. With newly diagnosed celiacs in the household, weve had a hard time finding sushi that is compliant. I ordered online and had chosen something that had wheat in it, but noted my allergy. I was so pleased that I received a phone call letting me know which sauces and fillings had gluten. They made adjustments and even sent the sauces on the side. They could have just as easily ignored our allergies and gave me what I ordered. Not only were we taken care of, the sushi was fresh and tasty per usual. They will continue to be my spot, thank you for taking care of us!

  • *****

The best restaurant! Food is always the freshest and best quality. fair price. I like this restaurant very much.

  • *****

Just ordered delicious sushi here with a friend. This is my second time ordering here and I am really happy. The food is very fresh. I will return.

  • *****

I think that's great. You can eat all you can and the food is great. I can't think of a better place. I like it very much, so my family is also satisfied with it. Will order again.

  • *****

    Great Sushi and Reasonable Prices!
This was my first time visiting Mizumi and I was very pleased with my experience! They are only only doing carry out, but everything was packaged well and very fresh. I had sushi and my boyfriend chose a hibachi plate; both options were fantastic! I highly recommend trying takeout from this restaurant. The food is excellent and it's located in a cute little area near downtown.

  • *****

I have always liked their food, I like to order, and we are very satisfied with the food every time.

  • *****

I have eaten in this restaurant many times. And Im very happy to come and order every week. Its amazing. This is still my favorite. Lifelong fans!

My daughter loves to come here for the all you can eat sushi deals. I wish they would open the dine-in section, tough I understand the precautions they're taking.

  • *****

This place has awesome take out sushi! With the pandemic I’ve been dying for sushi but was worried I would pay a lot of money and not be satisfied - well that couldn’t be further from the truth! I enjoyed literally every bite of my food and can’t wait for next Saturday’s cheat meal when I can indulge in more of this deliciousness! I saw someone else complaining about the way they have there set up to take precautions- that is ridiculous! We are all doing what we feel is best right now. They offer hand sanitizer and a contactless way to get food. I don’t care how you get me my sushi as long as it’s good! Will be back!

  • *****

Food was really good. I am not a fan of how they are managing people getting take-out near the entrance. People are collecting outside without masks or social distancing amd they seem fine with it.

  • *****

Exceptional sushi and food. Server we had the other night, Miranda I believe, was one of the best servers we've had anywhere. I'd eat here every day if I could.

  • *****

Was recommended by a friend and pleasantly surprised. I had the Dan sushi roll, and my friend had the Volcano. I could tell right away the meat tasted fresh and was good quality. Service was pretty good, and they had a lot of sushi options for those who may have shellfish allergies. Friday-Sunday is Buy 1 Get 1 free beer. Prices were average. 10/10

Mizumis is one of my favorite sushi places period. I usually come out here to celebrate special events or milestones. The sushi is fresh and delicious. The restaurant itself is unique too because you can choose from regular tables, bar area and traditional Japanese sitting areas. Their appetizers that come with the all you can eat menu is delicious. And their green tea and red bean ice cream is so delicious. I recommend this place to all my friends.

  • *****

Best sushi for the price in Greensboro. Always have a great time here. The Apple Sake is amazing. I would go every week if I could

  • *****

Mizumi was excellent! We got there early and were seated fairly quick. My son had the all you can eat and I had sashimi for one. Every thing was fresh and tasty. Our waiter Scott was fast and friendly! Fabulous experience!

  • *****

4th time dining at Mizumi and still amazing! Made reservations for 4 at 6:30 and no waiting time, I suggest you make reservations if party over 4. All you can eat with 35% off bottles of wine on fridays. The service from Ling was excellent and sushi was prepared quickly and fresh. Mizumi has become one of my favorite restaurants. P.S. it was my sister's birthday the day before our visit and she received her meal free..what a great deal.

  • *****

Favorite sushi place for take out in NW. It's not as good as Sushi Republic, but definitely solid. Take out can be a little slow though, so prepare for a small wait.

Sushi is fresh and well prepared, gyoza and soups are good, rolls are delicious and they have some fun combos. Would recommend for take out.

Dined in once for all you can eat and that was less stellar of an experience. Service was meh. I prefer it for take out.

  • *****

Very good sushi and not too over priced. The bento boxes are yummy and the perfect portion size. The waiters were attentive and patient even though I went with a group of rowdy kids. The spicy salmon was SMACK. I would definitely eat at this place again.

  • *****

Small place but amazing food!! We were pleasantly surprised with everything we ordered! Fresh, perfectly prepared, cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend!

  • *****

Literally the best sushi I've ever had in my life. It's very quaint and homey with a "hole in the wall" kind of vibe. The atmosphere is pretty laid back but that's not what we go for. We go for the amazing food. And to top it off, the service has only gotten better over the past couple of years that I've been going, and it was great to begin with! Their sweet tea is to die for, and it's hard to resist it to keep from getting too full too quickly. I've told everyone I know about them and made believers out of some of my fellow sushi lovers. I have no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended.

  • *****

All you can eat sushi is really good and you can also get soups and appetizers. Reservations are really useful on busy days also, as it can be a long wait sometimes.
The wait for food isn’t long though and it’s quality stuff.

  • *****

Really the best sushi place in Greensboro, but the price for the all you can eat can be pretty steep . It's always fun to bring your friends and just order a bunch of sushi and share rolls, and their salmon is always super fresh. Their apps like gyoza, seaweed salad, and spring rolls always come fast as well, but on busy nights you can wait for a long time before you can get any food.

  • *****

Food was splendid. Very flavorful and well garnished. Very good quality ingredients as well. Pricing is a bit much, but other than that my experience here was perfect. The waitstaff was friendly, the sushi chefs were very cool and lively. The atmosphere was very relaxing and friendly. I'd recommend going in groups because it's a very nice place to go and spend time with people that means a lot to you. That's the kind of atmosphere this place has. Warm.

  • *****

Love everything about this little area on state street. A true hidden gem for Greensboro and Mizumis is a great representative for this strip!

  • *****

The rice is always warm and a perfect consitancy. Fresh fish of good quality, I can't even look at "whole foods" sushi platters anymore. The booster seats only open at 5, but will give you a nice homey feel.. Or a quiet place you can pig out.

  • *****

This place was awesome! Came close to close on a Saturday night after going skating with my sister for a girls night. It was delicious, affordable and so pretty inside. 100% will
    Come again!

  • *****

Second time dining at Mizumi on a Thursday evening at 6:30 PM...which is a perfect time of day..no waiting. Ayce sushi was great with bogo free glass of wine. Can't beat the price for 5 appetizers, 5 specialty rolls, 20 pieces of sashimi (very small portions), 2 glasses of wine and dessert for 3 people for $75. Will be back.

  • *****

The feeling you get while sitting at the bar in this place is fantastic. You feel immersed in the restaurant, and it feels like an experience, rather than just dinner. You feel inclined to talk to the people near you, rather than pretending to ignore each other. Sushi is tasty and service is great! Highly recommend!

  • *****

Win!!! All you can eat is a fantastic deal with a group of people. Highly recommend this place. You cannot go wrong!

  • *****

Mizumi is a little hidden gem of WS. They have an excellent lunch menu sushi special, and if you sit at the bar and chat with the sushi chefs, you might find yourself enjoying a delicious appetizer as well! The space is small, clean, and well decorated, and the staff are prompt and friendly! Because I've only come in for the lunch special, I can't speak to the quality of the more complex rolls, but I can say that what I've had has been fresh and tasty!

  • *****

The entrance smelled like sewage, not sure what was going on. Glad we ventured on and stayed. Weekdays all you can eat freshly made sushi $23.99 a person. Vegetarian options. Lots of young people eat here. Wine, beer, sake. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and fast. Free Parking behind buildings across the street.

  • *****

Their sushi is great! The all you can eat option is great, but don't order too much. We ended up stuffing ourselves a little too full. The ice cream and dumplings are delicious as well.

  • *****

Absolutely love this place. Best sushi around.. We always get the 'all you can eat' and get plenty of appetizers as well as sushi. My personal favorite is the red tuna nigiri. We have bought more than we can eat and they charge a very reasonable charge to take the rest with us. For dessert, try the red bean ice cream.

  • *****

Unique and quaint little place with a good selection of food and rolls. All you can eat option with choices of appetizers, salads, sushi and food from the kitchen that is well worth the price. If you're used to high end sushi, specifically sashimi, it wasn't the best and I wouldn't go back for that alone. The rolls were good just not the best quality or freshest fish. We couldn't eat the salmon nigiri because it wasn't good. Service was great!

  • *****

    All you can eat sushi...

Was good.. Sashimi too small pieces but just order more. Octopus little chewi, not worth it. Nice place to go on a date. Food in general is good. Not the best sushi place but not the worst.
Check if they have some special on birthday! I missed

  • *****

Best deal in town if you have an appetite for sushi! Excellent quality sushi, wide variety of styles. Great family meal.

  • *****

KT was an amazing server. Sushi was top notch as always. Always recommend this to family and friends. The only issue I had was the couple behind our large party seemed to have chopsticks up their asses.

  • *****

Went here with a few of my friends and had a great time! We did the all you can eat sushi. The rounds all came out in a reasonable time and the food was amazing! So fresh and delicious! I would definitely recommend to others as long as you can eat a lot of sushi! Go hungry!

  • *****

Best place for all you can eat sushi and appetizers in GSO! The seafood is extremely fresh, and the wait is reasonable. Visit during the week for a discount and less crowds.

  • *****

Really great all you can eat sushi. Perfect for a date night. Try to get a reservation if possible because it can fill up quickly.

  • *****

The YUMMY ROLE is super YUMMY! Spicy crab meat is the very best I have ever had.

  • *****

This little spot is simply amazing. Sushi is always fresh and taste excellent. My son and myself went there 4 Saturdays in row for lunch . 24.99 all u can eat appetizers to sushi and desserts ...this deal simply can't be beat . The trip is 2 hour drive round trip and it is worth it every time....if you are anywhere near Greensboro nc you must stop and try this place

  • *****

Very good. First time here but it was delicious. And all you can eat sushi is great. I was able to try out so many different things. My favorite was probably the volcano roll and the salmon sashimi. I look forward to returning.

  • *****

We came for a late Saturday lunch. There were 3 parties with a 20 minute wait at 2:00. There wasn't an opening at the bar, the tables were all seated and they were also busy answering the phone and fulfilling take out orders. A good sign. I highly recommend the sexy lady roll !!! It. Is. Delicious. We also shared a plate of spicy tuna and salmon sashimi. It was also spectacular. If I find myself in GSO again, I will come back.

  • *****

Had to wait over an hour after calling to say we had a party of 7 and were told to come on down. But the food was worth the wait! Great sushi, very fresh sashimi. 4 teens and 3 adults left very satisfied.

  • *****

If you enjoy sushi you will really enjoy this place. We have visited Mizumi's several times in the last year. Sushi is exceptional and service is always friendly. This is a MUST try if you are in the area.

  • *****

We had an amazing experience at Mizumi tonight. I was a part of a large party (8) and there was another large party seated in the same room as us. Our waitress, Kiana, was amazing. She handled both of our large parties with skill and grace.

The food was fantastic, and was brought quicker than I thought it would be considering how crowded the restaurant was at the time.

Kiana: thank you for making my husband's birthday dinner a memorable and pleasant one!

  • *****

This place has the best sushi around. If you come with a big group you can really get your money's worth. You also have to try their sake it's worth it and super cheap.

  • *****

Great service. Sushi could be better grade, but it's all you can eat. Great quality and value for all you can eat. Service was quick and efficient. Atmosphere is excellent for a night out with friends or family. Definitely coming again.

  • *****

All you can eat sushi?! Thats a dangerous game.
Overall i would say good, a bit shy of great, certainly no off flavors or smells, and in the world of fish that gives you a free star.
A very relaxed dining experience, there was certainly no rush during my visit. The 2 wait staff i saw seemed harried.
Miso soup was very good as were the fried and fresh rolls, my only criticism would be that the octopus was very chewy and too much cream cheese in rolls that contained such, otherwise an excellent choice in dining in Gboro.

  • *****

It is apparent that this is a popular spot because every time I have been here, there is a line out of the door but the staff is polite and they worked well tonight despite being jam packed. Would recommend.

  • *****

Food was amazing and our server was perfect the upsetting part was the couple behind us who were rude

  • *****

If you live sushi and sake, come here to enjoy all you can eat. Absolutely loved that appetizers, soups, and salads were included in the all you can eat price. We all stuffed our bellies and had a great time. The sushi chefs were skilled artists that moved nimbly as well as eloquently. Staff was super nice. Although it is a small space, the quaint quarters were filled with charm and warmth. Can't wait til next time to enjoy some high quality, fresh sushi!

  • *****

We went for the unlimited sushi. The sushi was awesome. The only issue we had was with our first waitress but after talking with the manager, he quickly gave us another waitress and she was great. Would definitely go back!

  • *****

Our waitress was amazing!!! This restaurant has always treated their customers AMAZINGLY and with dignity. I've been here multiple times and they have always taken the best care of my table!

Kiana was an excellent server who really controlled her section. The only downside was Erika M.'s table that treated our server very disrespectful..Extra douche

Do this restaurant a favor and check them out! You will NOT be disappointed and make sure you ask for Kiana, best server here!

  • *****

Went on a Friday night and it was a 1.5 hour wait for 3 people. Waited..and glad I did. We all had the AYCE for $25 per person. Sashimi was fresh and rolls were great. Don't order too much because they said you have to pay for anything left. Don't forget to have the red bean ice cream at the end..it's really good. Definitely come back.

  • *****

Best sushi place in town. Make sure to make a reservation though, or you'll be waiting forever. Also, bring your money, cause this place is not cheap.

We had a wonderful experience tonight at Mizumi. Amazing sushi, amazing service, overall wonderful night! Our waitress was seriously amazing and was doing 500 things at once with our huge party of people.

  • *****

So I was in a large party of 10 who was seated close to another large party of 9 and both of us were celebrating birthdays. There was another couple that was seated near us SUCKED!!! We love this place and Jimmy!!!! The couple (Erica M.) LIED on our waitress!!! She was amazing and I'll come every chance that I get!!

  • *****

This is a sushi place. I had the hibachi which wasn't that good, but the sushi looked fabulous. I am sure that if I had the sushi it would have been 5 stars.

  • *****

I've been to this location a countless number of times, they have options from chair seating to traditional Japanese style floor seating. The quality of the fish is decent for an all-you-can-eat style service. I recommend that option over the individual order options because in terms of pricing the all-you-can-eat would be equivalent to ordering two sushi rolls. All in all, I would recommend this place as the nearest sushi place that offers all-you-can-eat is more than an hour drive away.

  • *****

All you can eat option appreciated. Good limiting rules to prevent patrons from taking advantage. I enjoy it when I go. Good way to sample and taste dishes may not normally order.

  • *****

Our go to place for all you can eat sushi. We’ve eaten here at least a dozen times. Quality is great!

  • *****

went there for the first time yesterday to pick up a to go order for my manager.. & i went back today to actually eat. it was very yummy! i got hibachi steak & chicken & my boyfriend got hibachi chicken. small little whole in the wall but so cute inside & had no clue it was there! will be going back!

  • *****

My husband and I love this place! And the all you can eat special is unbeatable. It’s a small staff so unfortunately if it’s a full house, it takes a while to get your food.

  • *****

Very cute little restaurant on the corner of the street!
Got the golden bridge roll (deep fried Cali roll w spicy mayo and eel sauce on top) as an appetizer. It took a while to come out and our entrees came out right after the server gave us the roll but that was bound to happen since it was a deep fried roll.
I got the eel bento box since I wanted a variety of food. It consisted of unagi don (bbq eel on top of sushi rice), seaweed salad, 3 piece nigiri (salmon, tuna and I believe mackerel?), and 2 pc gyoza. I enjoyed everything except the gyoza but overall I really enjoyed everything.
My friend ordered the hibachi steak and the portion of steak was great! She really enjoyed her food as I did. We plan to come back and try the all you can eat!

  • *****

Wish this little place was closer, the food is always outstanding - from the Clear Soup, to the Ginger Dressing, to the Shrimp Tempura, to the Sashimi, to the incredible Shumai, the Hibachi rocks, and the Sushi has it moments, as well - lot of S's in that sentence - damn, there's another one.

Picked up an order last week - Clear Soup (a real favorite), Salad with excellent Ginger Dressing, Shrimp Tempura, Sashimi Appetizer, and those great Shumai. Not one item was the least bit off! No sushi this time, but for sure next time!

  • *****

Absolutely LOVE this place! This is my family's favorite sushi place! We live in Charlotte but we make sure we can get to Greensboro at least for our birthdays to eat here. The best all you can eat, made to order sushi. Sooo Good! And the all you can eat menu has more than just sushi. My aunt, who hates sushi, also gets the all you can eat a fills up on chicken, rice, soup, egg rolls... the list continues. The Snow White roll is my favorite. I will say that if you don't like raw sushi there aren't many cooked options. There are some and they are also good but most of the sushi is raw.

Every time I go I leave with my stomach overly full and happy but wanting more (lol).

Staff is always friendly and attentive. Food normally comes out quick and accurate. We've only been there once when the service was really slow but the food was so good we got over it once is came.

I would definitely recommend this place!

  • *****

My wife and I come her often for some good sushi. The taste is always wonderful and it always seems quite fresh. The downside is it takes them a while sometimes to get your food and we've recieved cold hibachi before. A good dining experience overall but the chefs need to be a little more patient with the waiters and waitresses when all they are trying to do is help.

  • *****

Hands down! The best Sushi spot on town. The all you can eat is delicious. Service is great and the establishment is clean. You cannot go wrong with Mizumi.

  • *****

Cutest restaurant ever!! Got floor seating and it just makes you feel at home and comfortable. Great service; our waitress was so nice and made us laugh. Food came out at a good time even though the restaurant was packed which was awesome. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for some good sushi at a great price.

  • *****

This place is great as long as you have a party of 4 or less. Anything larger means you will be waiting a looooong time or you will have to make a reservation. For our large party of only 8 we made our reservation at 8:30 pm but didn't get seated till after 9. A party of 20 was ahead of us so we figured it took a little longer to seat us so they could clean the room up, but that wasn't the case. We sat next to all dirty tables for our entire visit except for the last 10 minutes. I found it disgusting.

I feel that if Mizumi's made a time limit on larger parties since space is limited it would run smoother. However, they must be firm enough to let people know when there time limit is nearly up and get them out the door. Something needs to be put into place for the larger parties for sure.

But, the food was great and was served quickly! We will definitely be going back, just with a smaller party.

Oh, if you check-in through the Yelp app you do NOT get a free small beer like what is advertised on Yelp. You are able to get a free small drink. I did not use the free drink because I didn't know how, hahaha.

  • *****

Great all you can eat sushi for 25 dollars. Sushi is fresh, I love the green tea ice cream, you can't get no where in town. This is the second time I been here, and I will continue to bring my friend here.

  • *****

Ordered takeout sushi and I can say I am pleased. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Golden Bridge Roll. The Shrimp Tempura Roll was a bust. I was expecting something different. It is a big roll for one. Little too different for me. But the Golden Bridge Roll picked up the slack. It was still drizzled in spicy mayo despite my request to omit it, but it turned out good. The roll is like a fried California roll. I was impressed and I am full from just 4 pieces. I had a side of fried rice and a bowl of clear broth too. Both were yummy. My food was ready when I arrived so that was a plus too. Good experience. Might try the all you can eat sushi one day.

  • *****

My favorite sushi spot by far. Everything I've tried here is excellent, and the portions are pretty generous. It isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. It's obvious with every bite that they use high quality ingredients, and their presentation is absolutely beautiful.

  • *****

I love this place, they have all you can eat sushi for 23.99 per person, you can get soup salad appetizer, sashimi, nigiri, and mostly all the sushi rolls. This is awesome, we come here every week when we want sushi. They even offer free birthday meal, I never done it before, but you guys can call and ask.

  • *****

Cool place. Well hidden, but wort the effort. The sushi is fresh and good. Small place and a bit differant. I will come again.

  • *****

Their friendliness and service is awesome! They have tables where you can sit on the floor and it's a very fun experience. Great hibachi, I recommend this place whenever I go to dinner with friends.

  • *****

Easily one of the best sushi joints in GSO... The all-you-can eat (and drink!) special offers exceptional quality for an unbeatable price. I bring my family here regularly; the staff recognizes us and says hello every time. Don't miss this gem!

  • *****

Awesome people, awesome time. My & my family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! Would definitely recommend!

  • *****

it's my favorite Japanese restaurant.the food was grate. All you can eat sushi is amazing ! sexylady rolland new york roll is the best you must try it

  • *****

If I could eat here once a week, I probably would. My family still lives in Greensboro, so it's a must-stop every time I'm in town. The All-You-Can-Eat menu is extensive and includes many different types of sushi, starters, sides, and desserts. We typically stick to sushi when we go, because why fill up on anything else?! A word of advice - order multiple small plates. Too many time to count, my eyes have been bigger than my stomach and then I get full to the point of being uncomfortable. While it's enjoyable at any table, it's especially nice if you get a "traditional table" where you sit on pillows on the floor. I promise it's more comfortable than it sounds!

  • *****

One of my favorite places to eat. I come here at least once a week for the ayce sushi. Come hungry and prepared to eat. I come alone or with a friend and I always feel welcome. Japanese style sitting opens up at 5 pm every day, although the waitresses do seem to take longer to come check on you in that section. Sometimes they can also be a hit or miss on service but most of them are super nice.

The appetizers are great. Ginger salad and seaweed salad are on point. Edamame you can never go wrong with. Personally I love the vegetable tempura (I have heard a few friends say it's bland but I think that the dipping sauce makes up for it), the shrimp tempura, and the crispy calamari (this seems to be everyone's favorite). Egg rolls, gyoza and crab ragoons are fine as well but not my favorites. Green tea ice cream is fantastic.

As for the sushi. Sashimi are cut different every time and the number you get doesn't usually match with what you request but it's unlimited sushi so I can't really complain there. Nigiri is heavy on the rice but that's alright, and all the rolls that I've had have been great. My favorites are the rainbow roll, sweet potato and black dragon. The salmon and red snapper is amazing, tuna isn't as good as I have had at other establishments but not bad. White tuna, yellowtail, eel, and inari are great as well.

  • *****

I randomly googled a sushi place in Greensboro and found Mizumi and I have to say, this place is a hidden gem! The quality and quantity of the food is excellent, and so was the service. I also love the Asian music in the background, it really gives off a nice vibe and makes you feel like you're in Asia. Will definitely be back!! Loved it here so much

  • *****

Excellent place if you love sushi. They have an all you can eat sushi menu for $24.99 per person. My husband and I have been here more than 10 times. You can also get unlimited appetizers, rice, dumplings, shrimp tempura, etc.. everything's always fresh and delicious! Only thing I've noticed though, when the restaurant is very busy, they pack the sushi with too much rice.. especially the nigiri. I understand why they do this but sometimes it's TOO much rice to the point that my mouth gets dry.

  • *****

Really amazing service, some of the best sushi I've had in Greensboro. The black dragon roll is probably my favorite there

  • *****

Yummy roll is the best and owner Jimmy is so kind. They have really improved over the year getting faster and faster with their service. love it

  • *****

So yummy! I recommend going to Mizumi if you're a sushi lover. It's a small little restaurant tucked in this quaint little faux-downtown area on State St. They have a regular dining menu and an all you can eat sushi menu (which includes other menu items as well, see images) for $23.99 on weekdays/$25.99 on weekends - yes, it did increase by $2 but still so worth it if you can throw back sushi rolls like my fianc and me. Their sushi was delicious, the wasabi tonight wasn't very spicy at all, the BBQ squid was way over cooked but the sauce tasted good, the rock shrimp were fried well and not over cooked, the fried calamari was forgettable, and the crab rangoons were just lacking a bit more crab for my taste. Even though a lot of that sounds negative, I would go back again in a heartbeat (which I have). The sushi is just spectacular to me and the all you can eat is just a no brainer! The service can be slow because they are usually never dead, but I've always had wonderful servers!

  • *****

The best sushi I have ever had, the have a rather small dining room with most of their tables being for four people, if you have a big group call ahead so you'll have a seat. I've eaten here twice and once with two and once with 4 people, both time the service was great and the food was even better, recommend the all-you-can-eat menu if your hungry. It's a great date place

Overall I have been fairly impressed.
    Sushi: 5/5
    Service: 3/5
    Atmosphere: 3/5
The sushi is very good but you're definitely in for a wait. Even when the restaurant is slow there is a long wait for food. Service is okay, but the hostesses have always been pretty rude, but the waitresses I've had have been friendly. The location is rather small, which is fine, but it's obnoxious when a large group of loud drunk people are next to you, which pretty much sums up my first ever visit here. Overall though, it's still worth a visit. The all you can eat sushi is a good price but definitely be aware that they charge you for any food left over (they post this warning everywhere so I'm not sure how some people don't know this beforehand).

OMG I love love this place The first time I ate there I fell in Love best sushi and hibachi and the service is amazing very warm welcoming people and they don't forget to check on your table unlike some other place but this place is so great for date night girls night or just family night so please try them you will not be sorry

LUNCH: Small selection of lunch items plus soup and spring roll are good .... just avoid paying for "ice tea" at $2.50 that turns out to be ice water with the slightest tint of tan in it .... if blindfolded I would have never guessed it was tea!

We stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant while in Greensboro. Parking was questionable, so we had to park the car across the street and around the corner since we didn't feel comfortable leaving it on the Walgreens lot. What's interesting about this restaurant is that they offer all you can eat sushi, which we did not try. We ordered the Danny Roll and the Black Dragon Roll. The Danny Roll was excellent! The service was very good and there wasn't a long wait. The tea was probably the worst I ever had in my life and didn't even look like tea in the glass, so you may want to stay away from that! Other than that, I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

All you can east sushi!! Do I need to say more!? Also make sure you eat all of what you order!

  • *****

Love going for the all you can eat sushi! The restaurant is clean and the servers are helpful. Worth the money

  • *****

SO FRESH! Beautiful display of food. They offer floor seating during the evening too. I didn't think I'd find good sushi the farther I got from CA, but this place is definitely my favorite away from home. Great service too.

  • *****

my girlfriend introduced me to sushi for the first time and this is where she suggested . fell in love with it every since ! you must try the shrimp tempura roll of you haven't already !

  • *****

Wow! I have never been this full from sushi in my life. Coming here is definitely worth it if you want your moneys worth. They give you a huge selection and you can even order your salad and soup in addition to sushi.

The best part was making my list and when my food came out the number if plates. We did a mixture of cooked and raw sushi, and I swear I was in heaven. Also, it is a great opportunity to try something different.

Upon arrival finding parking was difficult, but I ended up parking in the drug store parking lot and walking over. It is a clean, small, and cute restaurant tucked away in the town.

It costs around $23-25 per person, but very easy to get your money's worth!
    I will be returning again!

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE sushi go to. Great variety on their AYCE. Come hungry leave happy. I always am so pleased with my service. It does take a bit of
Time so I tend to order big on my first
Plate and slim down after. so worth the money.

  • *****

This is the place you go to if you really love sushi. Make sure you go hungry and ready to eat

  • *****

The food here is great and at an amazingly reasonable price. But be warned, the sushi is a tad on the larger side, so one person only needs about two rolls.

  • *****

The best All you can eat sushi in G town. The service is good and the environment is decent. I've been here several times every month and always get qualified sushi and sashimi with reasonable price.

  • *****

Ordered from the all you can eat menu & was very happy. The sushi was so good & the amount of food you could potentially get for the price is worth it. The wait was pretty long, but at least the foods good.

  • *****

This is actually my favorite sushi restaurant. I only wish they had a location closer to my house or job. All you can eat sushi menu is impressive. You have many options to choose from. Sushi is always fresh and delicious. Wait staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. Only negative I can think of is the restaurant is kind of small inside. Check this place out when you get a chance.

  • *****

Hands down favorite AYCE sushi restaurant. Never disappointed! So many delicious options (also vegetarian friendly, just ask!) tatami tables are very fun to try with friends and family.

  • *****

Favorite restaurant bar none. Request Chandler for waitress and you will not be disappointed. Between her service and the quality of food you will not go to any other Japanese restaurant.

  • *****

All you can eat sushi! What can you ask for? They let you have all the appetizers you want which includes gyoza, soup, tempura, and shumai. Then they also give you ice cream for dessert. I thought the sushi was good, the only thing is they use regular rice instead of sushi rice. But it was still a tasty sushi and they don't skimp out on the tuna nor do you get a basic sushi. You can get anything you want past a California roll here! To me it is well worth their price for a date night!

  • *****

If you check in you get a free small beer / drink!

Would suggest to do the all you can eat if you're going to order more than 3 rolls + appetizer.

  • *****

The vibe is nice. The Hibachi salmon and shrimp is good, but the shrimp was a bit on the salty side. The side fried rice is flavorless.

  • *****

Tried this susho restaurant today in the unassuming located in the corner of State Street and Golden Gate. They offered an all you can eat sushi at a decent price. The Sashimi portion in the AYCE menu is ridiculously tiny almost borderline fish trimmings. The quality of fish is good it's the presentation and execution of each roll is where they failed. The serve staff was good and friendly. We noticed the quality of the rolls did look slightly better if ordered from the regular menu. All in all this place is good place have sushi at a good price.

  • *****

Great place. Such beautiful and tasty food. My favorite is the Boston roll and shumai

  • *****

Good food but the unlimited sushi menu is very limited. It would be much better with more sushi choices.

I love going to Mizumi for all you can eat sushi.

Good about all you can eat sushi--
-- It is pretty tasty and the selection is great.
    -- The price is reasonable.
-- Cute atmosphere. They even have cute floor booths to add to the experience.
-- The servers are usually accommodating even if there is a mistake in the order.
-- Always some sort of drink special.
-- If it is your birthday, a week before or a week after, and if 3 other people order all you can eat sushi then you can have all you can eat for free.

Problems with all you can eat sushi--
--You have one tiny list for everyone. When you have a party of 8 everyone has to share that one tiny piece of paper and erase/add things. It's a little unreasonable and it becomes a bit is a hassle to manage.
-- Although so far they have not charged us for any leftovers (we never had too much leftover except one time), they say that they do. It creates a problem when there are 8 people and someone orders a bit too much for themselves. Everyone else is possibly stuck eating what they didn't order. It's a hassle. (First time there, we actually had to take a napkin and put leftover rice etc into my purse because we just miscalculated how much we can eat and they load up your sushi with rice.) I now order just the fish without the rice and use some rice from other sushi. Hassle.
-- Usually it takes forever to get your order.
-- Your bday special-- you have to gather other people and convince them to stuff themselves on all you can eat sushi in order for you to get free food. The special looks good but it's a hassle to arrange.
-- Lastly, there is always a huge wait. They also flip flop about reservations. Many times we came there on the weekend and waited in line while other people walked right by us with reservations. After, we called to make a reservation--they told us they don't take reservations. A month later I called and made a reservation with no problems.

In conclusion, it's a great place to go, you just need to know what to expect/know the rules. Order a little bit at the time and be prepared to hang out for a while.

Best sushi in GSO. Really good. Great service and ambience. Will make this a regular spot.

This is our second time trying out the All You Can Eat sushi at Mizumi. We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar as there weren't any tables available. They gave us 2 menus, one for kitchen food and one for sushi. We ordered some shumai and gyoza appetizers as well as sushi and rolls. Considering how busy they were, our food came our pretty quickly. Food was pretty good. I liked their rolls more than the nigiri. I'm not sure why their nigiri tuna looks so much more different than the tuna they use for the rolls. It looked like the nigiri tuna was dyed red. Either way, we left with full bellies and enjoyed our meal. It was well worth the $24.99 cost for all you can eat. We'll definitely be back!

  • *****

I have ordered from the restaurant before but had it delivered through a delivery service. This was my first time actually going into to the restaurant. I went in for lunch and was surprised how small the restaurant is compared to others in Greensboro. I was impressed with the variety of menu choices and was not aware of the all you can eat sushi. I am a fan of the barbecue eel and this is one of the best restaurants in town for this item. I sat at the sushi bar and actually watched them prepare my food. The barbecue eel was so good and I love the sauce that was with it. I can't wait to go back and experience the all you can eat sushi!!!

  • *****

Great sushi and great, friendly service. The all you can eat sushi is a good deal. Very fresh fish. Delicious!

  • *****

Been here twice...this most recent time, we sat in the floor seats - no back support, but a nice cultural dining experience.

My thoughts on the AYCE: Order all the appetizers / sides you want, and all you need to order from the specialty rolls are Gazilla (Godzilla specialty roll on their regular menu) & Golden (I don't see this on their normal menu, which is a shame!!). Stick with those and you'll be golden. Just so good. Next time I'll add the spider roll to try.

Was not a fan of the sunshine roll - imitation crab, Yuck!!!

Ended the AYCE with mushroom soup (great broth, very minimal mushroom - we are talking maybe one full stem). But, ending with soup was ideal.

  • *****

Really nice service. I recommend the salmon avocado sashimi. They have $12 okzeki nigori - win!

  • *****

Great find in Greensboro that has limited sushi options compared to Raleigh or Charlotte. It was family friendly and also offered good quality sushi for an all you can eat place. The service was excellent! The waiststaff was attentive and prompt. Will definitely return.

  • *****

Excellent sushi, best crab rangoon ever, the ginger salad is good and the rolls fantastic!

  • *****

I participated in the all you can eat sushi. I came in with an empty belly so I was ready to go! I think it's cool that this place offers both appetizers and ice creams as part as the all you can eat options. Of course you're coming mostly for the sushi, but it's a cool option to have. The crab ragoons were great. Now to the sushi. We didn't make a bad choice. It was all very delicious. The rolls were so fresh and came out pretty quickly after we'd order. I feel like we got our monies worth. I can't think of one flaw at this place. Our waiter was excellent made sure we were doing fine. It's the best sushi I've had in Greensboro. If you're looking for your sushi fix, come here and you'll be satisfied.

Tonight I had an amazing meal with an amazing waitress Yessica! The food here is great and they have wonderful hospitality. It's my private get away from the world

This place is a sushi lovers dream come true. I love their nigiri red snapper and yellowtail. Also really enjoy the octopus and fish egg nigiri. Had a yellowtail roll. Let me say the quality of their rice is off the charts. Their BBQ squid and tempura is amazing. The spicy tuna don was also a great dish. Over all I enjoyed my meal and for the price of $28 w/ drink you can't top that for; 2 tuna nigiri, 6 red snapper nigiri, 2 yellow tail nigiri, 2 octopus nigiri, 2 fishegg nigiri, 2 escolar nigiri, a double order of BBQ squid, a yellow tail roll and a salmon roll , and a double shrimp tempura, spicy tuna don,and a bowl of red bean icecream.Yes I left full to the point of I had ate one more nigiri I'd have exploded. But my was it worth it. Every single bite was heaven in my mouth. The balance of the cut of fish to the warm sweet taste of the rice. The perfect umami flavor you seek from sushi. Well delivered . Will be back

Bring your "A" game if you're coming to Mizumi for their sushi feast! I've heard of this food spectacle for quite some time, but until last night I'd never knew quite what to expect! After encouragement from friends who visit often, to a respected Yelper's quality review, and the unexpected celebrity status of one, Eduardo Rascon, I came and conquered!

Mizumi isn't a large restaurant for sure, but once inside, it's a well appointed Japanese experience complete with tables for which you'll remove footwear and sit directly on the floor. We came for the All You Can Eat experience which can be done any night of the week, but it's cheaper when done throughout the week by about $3 per person. The only catch, you have to finish everything before ordering more. A add-on bonus, for $9 you can add unlimited sake!

So if you're wondering if you're sacrificing quality for quantity? My opinion is that it's still a really good quality sushi and done in a fairly speedy process! I wouldn't be able to begin to tell you what all we ordered, but know by the pics that it was ALL delicious and done quite well!

Gochiso sama deshita! In Japanese....it was quite the feast!

  • *****

We come to Mizumi every month for the amazing 'all you can eat' style sushi. It's not a buffet.
Here is how it works: Once seated, they give you an appetizer menu and a sushi menu. You write numbers next to the items that you want, adding up to a maximum of 20 pieces of sushi at once. They take the two menus, make the food fresh, and bring you another set of two menus. Repeat.

The food is amazing. The fried appetizers are fried seconds before they are brought out to you. The cuttings of fish are sliced seconds before they are brought out. The hot food is hot, the cold food is cold. It's made to order sushi, made when you order it and literally the freshest it could possibly be. Mizumi is my favorite restaurant. We have visited once a month for the past few years. If you love sushi, Mizumi is worth fitting into your budget.

  • *****

I've been a few times now. Their sushi is so delicious. My personal fave is the Danny Roll. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Japanese food.

  • *****

All you can eat sushi is always a little bit suspicious. You're never sure if the quality is going to suffer. I'm happy to say that is not the case here. Everything was delicious, from the appetizers, to the half priced drinks. The specialty rolls were amazing. Would definitely recommend. Bring your appetite and your sense of adventure.

  • *****

Everything was well prepared and plentiful. Good selection. If you like sushi and lots of it I would recommend this place.

Soooooooooooooo yummy !!!!the only draw back is its too darn small !!news flash you guys make well enough to up grade the building space!... however by far the best japanese in greensboro...

Found this restaurant while riding around my new neighborhood in Irving Park. The sushi is amazing and the hibachi is just as good. The staff already knows me by name and is wonderfully helpful and nice. Please give this place a try!!

Small place with Great sushi and lunch specials! Love this place. The service is always friendly. Only thing i dont like is the can soda

  • *****

We've dined here several times, always eating from the AYCE menu. It has to be one of the most extensive, generous all you can eat menus I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Tons of sashimi and standard roll options. They also have an hibachi menu and a wide selection of appetizers to choose from. The atmosphere is great for families, as well as date nights. It's become our go-to sushi places in the area.

  • *****

Best sushi place I have ever been to. Me and my boyfriend DEFINITELY got our money's worth. All you can eat sushi (specialty rolls and regular rolls) including appetizers for $21.99? What a good deal! My new favorite place. Everything was delicious. I will never pay 15 dollars for one sushi roll again at any other place!

  • *****

I went to Mizumi for the first time tonight. It was surprisingly good. I went in expecting to be underwhelmed by their all you can eat sushi menu. However, it turned out to be great. They had a good selection on their all you can eat sushi menu and an equally good selection on their included all you can eat appetizer menu. Also, the food was great. Off of the appetizer menu we ordered the crab rangoons and the fried calamari, and both were great. For our meal we ordered six - eight piece rolls and all six were really good. Finally, the service was great and the staff was pleasant. Overall it is a really great restaurant that turned out to be much better than expected. We will absolutely start going regularly.

  • *****

Food & Service was good. I ordered their lunch roll special to go (spicy tuna / philly roll & miso soup). My bill came out to 11 dollars and some change including tip! It was pretty empty when I went in around 2:30 ish, maybe I had just missed the lunch rush or they receive little business on a Thursday afternoon. My spicy tuna didn't taste as fresh compared to other places & my avocado in my philly roll looked a little old . However , the food was still great at that price .

  • *****

My girl and I came here for lunch. I told her that I wanted sushi, and she suggested her spot. I've been riding by this place and never knew it was here. Which is funny, because Mizumi had been bookmarked on my Yelp! app for a couple months now. The parking is criminal. This tiny lot (across the street) is shared by the row of businesses on this block.

We were immediately seated as soon as we hit the door. There are about 4 tables at the front, a small bar area, and more seating in the back. We came during a slow period as only 2 other tables were occupied with a single person at each. The waitress was polite, but kind of cold. Strictly business. I ordered the choice of two rolls, spicy tuna and spicy salmon, and soup. I always go basic with my choices when trying new sushi spots. Both of my rolls didn't have much rice on it, which is kind of cool since it allows the protein to shine through. I enjoyed my rolls, but the soup was pretty basic. Wasn't thrilled by far. I will be returning so I can do the all you can eat sushi. I heard it was about $23, so with my appetite, I know I'll get my monies worth.

After hearing about all you can eat sushi and japanese food served to your table from several people, I finally had a chance to go with a group and give it a try. The deal with this, is they give you some paper menus with items that you can pencil in to order, you'll hand in your cards to your waiter, and after some time, stuff will start coming out. However, the trick is that you have to finish that food before you can order any more, and any food you don't finish, you can potentially be charged additional money for.

The food ranges from simple appetizers like Gyoza and Crab Rangoon, to soups, salads, hibachi fare, and lots of sushi choices. The portions are smaller than usual, giving this a bit of a tapas vibe, at least pertaining to the food coming from the kitchen. The sushi comes out in normal portions arranged beautifully on large plates. Not every roll they offer is available for order, but I would say close to about 75% of them are.

We had a sizeable group, so a lot of different things were ordered. I loved their version of crab rangoons, I could have eaten those all day long. The Gyoze were OK, but I have had better. The spicy seaweed salad was an interesting change of pace dish. Someone got a bowl of udon noodle soup, but unfortunately the broth lacked any flavor at all, so it just wasn't very good. In general, we came to gorge ourselves on sushi, and that is exactly what we did.

The sushi was all pretty good, definitely good considering the deal offered, but I have had better at other places in town. Some of the more interesting rolls just didn't have the pop i expected them to, but the nigiri and simple fish cutlets were all very fresh tasting.

Overall, a very positive experience, and a place I will re-visit next time I feel like packing in the sushi.

All you can eat for $21.99 weekdays, $23.99 weekend. Great selection and its made to order, so you aren't picking it off a buffet bar after its set forever. The quality was excellent, and I was very impressed with the selection. If you cant eat alot you won't save any money however. But still, anywhere I go im paying that for just 2 or 3 rolls, especially for nigiri or sashimi which is $2 each on average, and here you can get all you want. They charge regular price for what you cant eat, so dont order too much at once. I loved the area, and atmosphere of the restaurant. This will be my new sushi place, and I live all the way in Winston-Salem which has nothing like this.

  • *****

One of the best sushi places around! The big deal here is obviously the Endless Sushi. The quality of it is outstanding, with amazing food and complex delicious rolls available! (Many I have ever been to greatly limit the endless options. Very few limitations here.) It's not just the sushi even, because the dinner menu options on the endless are great too! All the best hits are here, like soup/salad options of all kinds (including my favorite seaweed salad...good quality) and appetizers such as gyoza (pot stickers/dumplings) egg rolls, fried calamari, and crab Rangoon. Types of rice, fried, etc are available. Even a few full meal options like udon and chicken teriyaki!

The atmosphere is really great. It's actually very surprising, due to its location in a classic row of businesses. The space feels much more open than you would think. The nicest feature though is the traditional Japanese style seating in the middle section. It's only 4 tables, so on busy nights, you're probably gonna want a reservation. (Though that's likely the case no matter what) But it's very interesting to sit on floor mats (you take your shoes off) and just relax. If you have a hard time sitting on the floor for long periods especially cross legged, it might get to you with too many people at your table, but for those who don't, it's a fun extra experience you won't do many places.

Great quality sushi. It may not be the top I've had, but usually I pay close to the endless prices for just one roll. (Or are visiting places like California) This place has delicious, fresh, good quality sushi for a reasonable price.

I go here often for a lunch break and I've ordered the sushi sashimi lunch plate, very satisfied with both. Their hibachi is subpar compared to the sushi itself. They have an all you can eat sushi/hibachi option which I would like to try soon.

This is a very nice and trendy restaurant. The service was very good and the sushi was very good.

This is my favorite place to get sushi. I used to live by the coast and seafood in general has always been my go to. It was hard moving to NC and not having good seafood or sushi around. This has definitely turned my thoughts around! Not only that, but the all you can eat sushi is still of great quality! Love this place. 10/10 recommend.

Great sushi!! Me and my boyfriend got the All you can eat. We did!! Even tried the ice creams. We will definitely be back for another sushi date night

Small place- blink and you miss it. DON'T miss it. Small in size butbhuge in taste. One of us got the all you can eat and 2 of us shared a couple special rolls. The food is amaIng. Fresh fish and excellent sushi rice.

Wait staff was not real friendly but efficient. Strick policy on the all you can eat choices. Eat evwrything or you will pay.

One of the best sushi places in Greensboro. I will be a frequent flyer

Best sushi in town and it's all you can eat! The waitress named Joy was so good she gave us a tip. She literally puts they joy in sushi

Great little Japanese restaurant in a charming State Street storefront. We tried several different types of sushi, and the house made sake. All was delicious, and fairly priced. We'll be coming back when the inevitable sushi craving hits.

  • *****

We ordered here for the first time today and it was delicious!! The sushi was wonderful!!!

My hibachi shrimp was seasoned and cooked nicely. My only issue is they do not have spicy mustard sauce. The hibachi steak came with a good amount of meat according to my greedy and picky husband. Prices are higher than a normal takeout spot

  • *****

Got the all you can eat sushi and it was delcious, best sushi I've ever had with a large selection for all you can eat.

  • *****

Phenomenal sushi place! As much sushi as you'd like for $20...wow!! It's actually the whole menu so you can have gyoza sushi tempura literally everything they have for $20. Which is an incredible deal if you have ever eaten at a sushi restaurant where just 2 rolls could easily add up to $20. Check these guys out yum!

  • *****

Love the all you can eat sushi offer! The sushi is great quality. This is my new favorite sushi spot. Just make sure to make a reservation, because it gets busy, fast.

  • *****

All you can eat sushi for $24. It's not just rolls and sushi but some of their main entrees as well as desert, appetizers are also on the all you can eat. We did 3 different orders of food. Have to eat all the food before you can order more. Does take a while to get your order in and to get your food. Could wait 15 to 20 min to get food. Very good taste on rolls. Highly recommend for anyone wanted to try new things.

  • *****

I went there for all you can eat sushi. It was good and for a reasonable price. The restaurant is cute and the area around it is cute. The service was excellent and the food came out fast. I am surprised they weren't more busy.

  • *****

I have always gone with their "all you can eat" option. They offer sashimi, sushi rolls, ice cream, soups, appetizers, and noodles (lots of choices!). The main rule is to not waste food. You can order as much as you want from their AYCE menu but will be charged if you have too much left over. I have never had a problem with this.

The sushi quality is decent for all you can eat. I especially love sashimi, which can cost $2 for ONE piece of fish at those fancy Japanese restaurants. Between my boyfriend and me, we can eat over 45 pieces of sashimi. We definitely eat our $23.99/person worth :)

As for dessert, I absolutely love their red bean ice cream! I miss red bean flavored dessert from places back at home, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this option in Greensboro!

Staff is friendly, however service can be slow. I've come during peak hours and not so peak hours but always had to wait quite a bit of time for my plates. This causes me to feel more full faster :(

Overall, I'm a fan and would definitely return for all I can eat.

  • *****

Our biweekly order from this small restaurant gem was barely perfect, but we revelled in it, none the less.

The Hibachi Shrimp with Fried Rice (love the pieces of corn) & grilled Vegetables - perfect.

The Clear Broth Soup with sliced Mushrooms - perfect.

The simple Lettuce/Shredded Carrot Salad with awesome Ginger Dressing - perfect.

Plenty left for another meal - perfect.

    Delivery from DiningDash - perfect.

Wow, we may have to do this more often - even more perfect.

  • *****

This is one of my two go-to sushi restaurants in Greensboro. I love that this place has an all-you-can-eat sushi menu - it's especially worth it with a small group of people so you can order a variety of sushi, sashimi, and rolls and sample them all. The AYCE menu also includes appetizers, soups, salads, and desserts, so it really is the best price for good quality sushi in this area. The service is sometimes slow, and if they're busy or have a large group...it can be borderline poor service. It's somewhat easier to overlook the service because of the great food and great prices. Plus they have adorable booths close to the floor in one area for dining, and it's a nice novelty.

The consistent quality achieved here is amazing, and there are few restaurants that seem able to accomplish that most difficult task, and for most folks that is what really defines an excellent restaurant, regardless of the style of the cuisine.

And from our perspective, what they do the very best here is the basic Hibachi plate (a food choice demonized by the "fad food fanatics/entree of the month groupies" almost as much as is Tex-Mex) with your choice of meat (pick the Shrimp, it is outstanding, never overcooked), perfectly grilled vegetables, and the most excellent Japanese style Fried Rice. Throw in a crisp, fresh salad with awesome Ginger Dressing, and a bowl of the house Clear Soup with sliced mushrooms, and you've got yourself an excellent meal (wish they offered the little "crunchies" with the soup). There are only a couple of restaurants in the area that match this quality in this cuisine, at least for our taste.

The Sushi here seems good, though we are not the biggest fans of it, nor are we particularly adventurous - we keep it fairly simply, most of the sexy, specialty rolls quickly become cloying. For us, a fresh, very well made California is our go to, and they do an excellent one here. When it come to eating raw seafood (other than oysters on the half shell, which rules), we prefer Sashimi, and here we have found that we like what they do.

We will have the food here 3 or 4 times a month, and a disappointment of any description is very rare. We like that in a restaurant.

Great easy takeout. Hibachi at a reasonable price, and banging spring rolls. Not the biggest fan of sushi in general but theirs is definitely top notch, with sushi chef working in sight.

The best all you can eat sushi I've ever had! Simple rules eat everything on you're plate before you order again. The man is right there in front of you albeit a younger man but boy has some skills. Fish is fresh eel sauce is delicious. The Phoenix is my personal favorite.

This is one of the best kept secrets in Greensboro. If you are a sushi lover and you have not been here you are truly missing out. For the price you pay for about two rolls at your average Japanese restaurant, you are offered an all you can eat option that includes delicious appetizers, soups and salads (including udon and seaweed!), unique maki rolls, fresh and buttery sashimi, and even dessert! The service is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant.

They offer hibachi and non all you can eat sushi as well. Do yourself a favor and check out the best deal in Greensboro!

I eat here weekly, it is a decent Japanese restaurant. I always order the hibachi salmon, which is always good. The service has always been great.

  • *****

Very friendly staff, all you can eat sushi and etc is pretty awesome. Good selection :) I know some say it's limited, but I like it this way because I have less to chose from.. And the choices for maki sushi are excellent! Everything I had was tasty!

I have worked for 5 years as a server at Kabutos sushi bar in Charlotte NC. I have eaten at dozens of sushi places with different schemes to compare. I tried Mizumi recently with a friend and enjoyed it. Yesterday was my brothers birthday so I decided to take him. He's eaten a lot of sushi, and has a culinary degree from JWU. That being said, we arent snobs - and I feel the mistakes we make ordering in the all you can eat style are deserved - as some people mention the rich, fried, bbq sauce topped special rolls are at the bottom for a reason!! We had multiple salads, soups, apps, nigiri, sashimi. It was all good, and this is a good place to try a few things maybe you might not have. I can remember the egg/omelet wasnt stellar, the spicy white tuna was very good. In closing, the service was good both times I went, but then again im not the type to play with my chopsticks.

One of the best sushi places in North Carolina and in the Greensboro area! I have lived in multiple foreign countries where sushi is a big deal and also in a few American cities with large Asian influence (typically that means these places have sushi that is really good). And I have yet to find a place in North Carolina with good sushi. Some places are average or ok. But at Mizumi's it is so fresh and delicious. I was actually shocked by the freshness of the fish.

(Oops forgot to mention that I did the all you can eat Groupon ) meaning that I was skeptical when I walked in about the quality. But I was pleasantly surprised! They don't have many people working group so the service is a bit slow but the food is so good and you have such a variety to choose from that it makes up for the service!

I can't say it enough but the food was so good and fresh. There is also a traditional Japanese seating option which reminds me of my friends how when I was a kid! My new favorite place! I have already been twice and I have made reservations for a work lunch there!

We continue to order from this restaurant, and continue to be impressed with the overall quality of the food as we have moved through the menu. The California Roll, the Sashimi Appetizer, the Clear Soup, the Fried Rice, and the salad with that excellent Ginger Dressing were again, outstanding. I ordered a quart of the soup so there would be plenty for another time or two.

We also ordered the Hibachi Shrimp with extra shrimp and extra vegetables. Everything was outstanding - the shrimp fresh tasting, and perfectly cooked, as were the vegetables. The Fried Rice here is definitely a favorite.

There are not many places in this area that do the the Hibachi dinner any better, and when you throw in the other excellent items available here, this is simply hard to beat.

  • *****

Go for the food, not the service.

When ordering from the all you can eat sushi card be sure to order quite a bit with your first round because it'll be a while before anyone stops by to take your second order.
Other than that, the food is great and well worth it.

Amazing food and great service. The female manager is awesome. She is friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back again!

The food and drinks are always excellent! Love the lady(manager) work in here. She's funny and friendly. Best Japanese restaurant in Greensboro!

  • *****

Very good sushi and maki! We got about 7 different rolls, for 3 people. It took a little long to get al the sushi, but it was a rush hour and totally worth the wait.

  • *****

I visited this place for the first time last night with a group (7 total). I am a sushi lover and was excited to try a new restaurant!

It was a Saturday night so I was prepared to expect a wait but not as much as we did. We arrived at 8PM and weren't seated until almost 9. It's a smaller restaurant and our group was larger so I can understand that. The service was so slow as well. Our waitress, though very nice, kept forgetting things and we had to remind her several times.

We chose to do the all-you-can-eat which I thought was fabulous! It was only $23.99 which to me is a steal. We got two rounds, which came out to be 22 rolls total! The wait between appetizers and each sushi round was extremely long. I wish it hadn't had taken so long but the wait was worth it! It was all delicious and I will definitely be going back!

The only reason why I deducted a star was for the slow service. We arrived at 8 and left at 11.

Mizumi is a casual Japanese-style restaurant offering mainly sushi and hibachi plates. Notable for their all-you-can-eat sushi special ($21.99 Monday-Thursday; $23.99 Friday-Sunday), this may be the place where you finally mollify that persistent sushi craving... or accidentally push your methylmercury levels over the edge.

Let's start with sushi.  If I'm being honest, I think sushi is generally overrated and fairly similar from one establishment to the next.  Don't get me wrong, though. I do like sushi and think the sushi served at Mizumi is both tasty and artfully prepared.  The usual suspects are on the scene, and the unusual suspects aren't, meaning don't come looking for that exotic fugu you've been dying to try. Instead expect plentiful combinations of salmon, tuna, (imitation) crab, avocado, eel, et al.  Some things to try are their Spider Roll (fried soft shell crab), the Sexy Lady roll, their spicy tuna, and the salmon nigiri.  You should know that the all-you-can-eat menu is somewhat limited compared to their full menu, but most options remain available.

As a quick aside, I'm pretty sure most references by reviewers to a fish's freshness belong in the realm of fantasy, because in the US, most fish intended to be served raw have to be frozen to eliminate the risk of parasites.  Although tuna is an exception, Greensboro is 200+ miles from where one might expect to find a still-seafaring tuna, so it's probably a safe bet that your maguro was frozen, too.  Anyhow, the point is that Mizumi treats their fish appropriately on the way to your plate and you have a decent variety to choose from.

Besides raw fish, typical accompaniments such as edamame, miso soup, and gyoza appear on the all-you-can-eat menu.  Most of these are reasonably good, if ordinary.  However, I do suggest you avoid the crab rangoons, which I found unappetizing.

If uncooked fish isn't your thing, you can still order from their hibachi menu, where staples like hibachi and teriyaki steak, chicken, and shrimp are there to save you.  These dishes deviate little from what one would expect of such things, though the teriyaki sauce is less intense than that of most "express" hibachi restaurants (I think this is a good thing).  Both steak and chicken are sliced thinly, so keep that in mind when ordering.  You may want to err on the rarer side when ordering steak, and it's pretty likely that your chicken will be dry.  I think the chicken in particular could benefit from being cut into larger chunks, as well as brining.

Overall Mizumi is reasonably good.  They don't let me down where it counts the most, even if they're not perfect and won't be defying many expectations.  One final note: service can be slow sometimes.  Give yourself extra time for your meal and you'll be fine, but I wouldn't try to squeeze in a visit right next to an important meeting or other sharp deadline.  Go instead when you can appreciate a more leisurely experience, and come hungry.

Went for lunch the other day and it was fantastic. I sat at the sushi bar and was seated, dined and out the door within 20-30 minutes which is great for people on a tight lunch break. I enjoyed their lunch specials, I got the 2 roll combo with my choice of a soup or salad. Walked out with a bill under $10! They also have good deals on hibachi and other sushi options during lunch time. I noticed they joined a delivery service so I'll have to try that next time! I can't express my love for this restaurant but as of right now it's my favorite sushi restaurant in Greensboro.

Great lunch specials!!  Hibachi chicken was delicious.  Got the teriyaki chicken a different time and it was not as good.

We wanted some sushi and sashimi, and based on some positive feedback on both those items at this restaurant, we placed an order through the DiningDash delivery service. We had tried several of the traditional Chinese dishes here awhile back, and were definitely not please with either the food or the service. This time was a very different experience, especially so once the service aspect became a non-factor through the delivery process.

We ordered the Goya Yaki appetizer ($5.25 for 5 dumplings), a California Roll ($4.50), a Sashimi Box with Fried Rice ($13.95), and a Sushi Box with Clear Soup and White Rice ($12.50). The online ordering and the subsequent delivery went perfectly, order delivered complete and on time.

The food was very good to excellent, without exception. The Ginger Dressing on the salad was perfect in both taste and texture. The Gyoza were tasty and not the slightest bit overcooked, and came with a nice, sharp dipping sauce. The Clear Soup was indeed exceptional, the flavor exploded in every spoonful. The Fried Rice was very nice, grains nicely separated, full of flavor, and loaded with kernels of sweet corn.

Both the Sushi and the Sashimi items were excellent, very fresh tasting, even the Salmon, which sometimes can be rather mushy. The California Roll, which some find less than exciting, was excellent, and I still prefer this smooth tasting sushi roll to almost anything else - the more exotic rolls tend to become cloying in a hurry, at least for me.

Very nice overall experience. We'll definitely go this route again, but still not inclined to repeat any of the standard Chinese dishes at this point.

I've been here twice now for the all-you-can-eat sushi deal, and quite frankly, I'm obsessed. Not only does the deal cover sashimi, sushi, and specialty rolls, but they have another menu with appetizers and desserts which are also included in the price.  It's a few dollars cheaper if you go on a week day rather than a Friday or Saturday night so take advantage of that. They have good drink specials too, such has half off beer night on Monday's and all-you-can-drink sake for $10. It's a cute spot with a lot of different seating options, but the floor/pillow seating is my favorite. The staff is friendly, but a bit slow. I've only seen one server working at a time, I think if there were two they wouldn't make money so its understandable but this also means at times service is slow. If you can get past the slow service, there is no way you won't enjoy this place!

  • *****

The only thing that needs work in this place is the decor. Tasty and affordable! Really awesome location! Wonderful service!

  • *****

I feel obligated to update my original review that praised the service here to explain that the service here is definitely not as good when more than two groups are eating in the restaurant. Because there is usually only a single waitress, she can become quite overburdened if it gets popular.

Because my wife and I always order the All-You-Can-Eat special, we tend to only order a couple of rolls at a time, and the first times we came here, it didn't seem to be a problem because we were the only patrons in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the last time we came, we literally waited 45 minutes to an hour after our last sushi order to receive a check because the waitress was so busy taking orders for other tables and moving food around. I guess she didn't have time to take our small orders :-(.

I cannot completely fault Mizumi for not hiring more staff because it would be financially unwise to hire a second waitress and chef when the majority of the time there aren't enough patrons to justify it so I caution future patrons to try to come on early on weeknights that people don't often eat out on like Wednesday or Thursday.

Please see my original review below for information about the food and the establishment itself.

This place is great! The food is delicious. My friends and I went for a birthday party. The all you can eat menu is wonderful. The sushi was assembled beautifully and tasted great. The hibachi comes In a very large portion size. Only complaint is the size of the restaurant and the parking lot.

Overview: Mizumi Hibachi & Sushi is a medium-to small sized Japanese restaurant (staffed by Chinese people) a couple of miles from Greensboro downtown that serves a good variety of both cooked and non-cooked dishes. The best reason to come here is for their All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) option which was $25 when I came with my wife (Jan, 2015).

The Food: Absolutely no complaints. The AYCE option allows for sashimi (no rice) which means in theory, you could order pure fish until you explode but to be kind to the owners, you shouldn't :-p. As for the fish quality, I would call it about average for a sushi restaurant (which on the whole is generally excellent.) For fish options, I would also say it is above average, especially compared to other sushi restaurants in North Carolina. I enjoyed having the options for the rarer options like squid, octopus, and fish eggs. The sushi here is not soured like in traditional sushi restaurants, and is left fairly plain which my wife enjoys greatly. The rolls are not just variants of california rolls like most restaurants and offer options like deep frying. I really loved my deep-fried roll :-P. There is also a cooked menu which has everything from crab to teriyaki and ice cream that is ALL included in the AYCE special. Loved it.

The Establishment: A low-key sushi restaurant with a television to watch the football games.

The Service: Excellent. Our waitress was already ready to take our order and refill our water. Disclaimer: we were the only people in the restaurant for the majority of the night (Saturday night.)

Conclusions: Mizumi Hibachi & Sushi is a great restaurant whose AYCE option is an amazing value. While it's small, it's not very popular so I don't think you will ever have trouble finding a table. I would also highly recommend it for single people wanting to eat sushi while watching a sports game.

Because I didn't want to be an a-hole, I purposely ordered mostly rice-laden options like rolls and traditional nigiri (fish on rice) because I didn't want to cause the restaurant to be hurt financially. A+ to them for allowing for sashimi. As for the fish quality, I would call it about average for a sushi restaurant (which on the whole is generally excellent.) I came here yesterday fully intrigued by their all-you-can-eat sushi deal.  Mizumi is located on a cute street of Greensboro where there are a few places to do window shopping before or after visiting.

The actual restaurant isn't lavishly decorated, but it still is very nice and clean. There are some Japanese decorating elements that give it a nice atmosphere. When we came in we were seated immediately and throughout the night our waitress was very attentive.

Now onto the sushi. I think this ayce deal is amazing if you are really hankering sushi; you can even pick sashimi. The ordering menu is truncated compared to their normal menu, but it has a lot of the basic rolls and appetizer bits . I liked the Hawaii roll and the Sexy lady roll. For all of our rolls and the nigiri  pieces, the portions of fish were sizable. One of the rolls we tried had soy bean paper and I just couldn't get used to that texture - personal preference of cost though. A big positive for me was that the rolls were wrapped well and they didn't fall apart when picked up with chopsticks.

The overall quality of fish was very good but not excellent. So if I wanted only a few pieces I might go somewhere else, but for ayce I am here in a heartbeat.

Sushi are back to good ratio fish / rice.

Good place to go for sushi. First time I try for lunch, very good prices. Two rolls for $9, can't beat that.

Sad I work so far from there, but a good deal for people around. Like always, I can't comment on the time it takes to eat, I am never in a hurry when I eat there.

Absolutely delish! We came here randomly on a Saturday and took advantage of the AYCE sushi, which includes appetizers, soups and other entrees from the kitchen.  Let me say def come hungry!  Everything was well prepared.  We had the calamari (yum), crab Rangoon (ok), rock shrimp, gyoza, shumai, and tempura chicken (prob would skip/ a little bland).  We also had the Snow White roll (sweet), California roll, firecracker and j style rolls = soooo good. Fish is fresh. Service is great! Will return!

So glad to have a great sushi place so close to home. We love sushi and have been to all of the top places in Greensboro. This sushi was as good if not better and fresher than any of their competition.  We tried their special roll (Gozilla) it was incredible! We also had the yummy roll, the white dragon and a spicy tuna roll.  We could not pick a favorite! The service was very friendly, attentive and quick.  If you love sushi you need to give them a try.

Excellent new addition to the Greensboro restaurant scene!  I rate the food an "A" and the ambiance a "B".  The sushi is as fresh and well presented as any I've had in Greensboro.  Many other options for non-sushi fans in your party.  Well worth the trek to State St. if you don't happen to live in Irving Park.

This place is really nice!  Nice, quiet atmosphere.  The sushi was absolutely incredible, best I've had in a while!  The prices are pretty nice too.  I will definitely be going back here!

I went here with some friends last week and had a great experience. I'm no sushi expert, but I loved what I ordered. The service was good too, I don't think my water glass was ever less than half empty. I definitely recommend it.

The food here was awesome. I had scallops and shrimp from the hibachi menu, and sushi which was beautiful and EXCELLENT. We  found this place through a living social deal, and truly a great find. We sat on the floor traditional style in a little booth. A little cramped for my 6'1 hubby...but a great date night!

We ordered vegetable tempura, vegetarian sushi dinner, vegetable maki dinner, asparagus roll, and one other vegetarian roll that I can't remember the name of. All of it was very tasty and presented well. The service was pretty good. It's definitely some place we will be returning to.

(I can't speak to the quality of the fish used for the sushi, but the vegetarian options were numerous and delicious.)

  • *****

This place is tiny but very cute with the standard sushi bar and about 5 tables in the front of restaurant with more tables in the rear section. I've only been here at lunch. The service is slowwww, but I'm lucky enough not to be on a rigid time schedule at work so it hasn't mattered. If you only have an hour for lunch, beware. The sushi I've ordered has been fresh and beautifully presented. It almost a shame to eat it and destroy the artistry. It's a bit more expensive than some other local sushi places, but it's worth it.

  • *****

The sushi was fantastic, the service was pleasantly unobtrusive, and the location is perfect (at least for me).

Although I didn't opt for it, the "All You Can Eat" deal is pretty epic. It's $21.99 on the weekdays and $24.99 on the weekends. Be careful about how much you order because they'll charge the a la cart price for anything you don't gobble up.

I was disappointed it wasn't busier...especially after I had the chance to take a bite. I can heartily recommend the "Crazy Tuna" roll to you. Also, the takeout and order online options seem pretty appealing.

Do yourself a favor and check this place out!
